Lagos State Commissioner of Police Hakeem Odumosu has given the reason why the police had to take over Ojota, where today’s Amotekum solidarity walk was billed to take place.

He said the police had to storm the venue because they wanted to starve off possible challenges that might arise from the gathering.He said the police merely acted proactively.

“There were rumours of protest and of course you know that Ojota harbours many parks (one being that of the) National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), (so) we had to be proactive so that there won’t be (any) breakdown of law and order,” he said.

This CP should simply be honest to say the "baba so peè" man is simply not in agreement because he does not want to offend his slavemasters as a result of the illusory presidential mandate they promised him in 2023.

Meanwhile, the same protest was peaceful in all states where it was observed ystdy except in Lagos & Ibadan where the police were misbehaving.We can only keep on deceiving ourselves as a nation.

Which is a good thing, I guess, being proactive.

I have a feeling that if the people had gathered there for the solidarity walk, the police would have just provided protection instead of dispersing them.

Anyway, the message has been passed clearly in other states.
