My performance is very poor, in fact I'm currently on probation(I'm suppose to be in 300 level by now) and that's not because I'm not intelligent or I'm dull o. it's just that i don't show commitment towards my studies because I've completely lost interest in the course I'm currently studying because of its calculation aspect. So i have finally decided to apply for withdrawal from my current school to register and sit for jamb again. This time i will apply for a course in a different institution. Now i don't even know how to approach my father with this. I know I've fvcked up big time. The man will be so so annoyed and disappointed in me but i can't continue like this, i want to get things on track, i want to fix my life and start afresh. Right now I'm just confused and frustrated. Put your best effort in your next exam. Don't drop the course yet. You can still apply for Jamb. But get the admission first before leaving it.

Your dad is going to be disappointed but believe me at some point in time hes going to really understand you and even support you more so as long you know thats what you want then go for it bro

Meet your college officer or course adviser, and beg them to help you resume a new dept from 200 or 100l. If it is done in your school they’ll do it.

In my own opinion, I believe you can still strive hard and get a good CGPA as long as your determined and committed.
Secondly, getting admission to University these days is hardly most especially federal university.
Think deeply before you make any choice and also share the story with your dad.

Well i love ur courage and gut. Hadn`t been i know also what i studied in Nigeria, i wouldn`t have gone for it. Outside the country specifically developed nations,courses that r useless in Nigeria r making waves in other developed countries eg creative, fine and applied art etc.

do not withdraw until you get the new admission, don't inform him until then. I know people who have done this before.

Better late than never, at Least you realize your mistakes and decided to amend your ways instead of deceiving yourselve. Let your dad know, he will definitely be disappointed and even bash you real hard but after a while he will come down and ask you what you want to do with your life.

The earlier you let your dad know and start again , the better, you are on a good track , to have come to realize that you are not moving forward and not on the right track.... Pls go back and start again...I will advice u not to go back to your parent house because of shame on both u and your parents , look for another place u can stay to preparing very hard for the next jamb , put all ur efforts , forget the past u can't change and think about the future because u still have enough time to handle it... Also don't forget to pray....seek God's direction in all u do ....

You must tell your dad especially if he's the one sponsoring you. He might even Have better options than you think you have. Yes he will be initially bitter which is expected cos it's a big shocker but then things will pan out calmly later.
