empowered to spew more almajiries . Nice one.
I was thinking that he would empower their primary schools and make them all send their children there.
An almajiri will always be an almajiri despite his billions!

naptu2: The Dantata/Dangote family have always been involved in charity work. However these deeds often go unnoticed, because of the family's principles of maintaining privacy and lack of flamboyance.

Al-Hassan Dantata was passionate about education. He backed the establishment of a western style school in the Dala area for hausa (I.e non-fulani) traders' children in the 1930s and established the Dantata english and arabic school in 1944.

Mariya Dangote (Aliko Dangote's mother) donated a hospital, which she built at Rijiya Lemu, to the Kano State Government in 2003.

Aliko Dangote has made the following charitable contributions:

2.5 billion naira to the national fund for flood victims in 2012. 430 million naira to Kogi flood victims. 100 million naira to Sokoto flood victims. $2 million to Pakistan's flood victims. 120 million naira to fight famine in Niger. 600 million naira to women empowerment and free school feeding schemes in Kano State. 500 student capacity hall at Kano State University. 10 million naira annual scholarship for Benue students. $2 million to African Young Leaders fellowship in conjunction with the Forum For Young Global Leaders. $1 million towards education and women empowerment in Tanzania. 1 billion naira to states suffering from the Boko Haram insurgency. 1,000 bed hospital in Kano. And many more

He established the Dangote Foundation which is the philanthropic arm of the dangote Group where yearly he spends millions for worthy causes such as contributions to educational and healthcare institutions, sinking of boreholes and giving of scholarships.

The Dangote Foundation and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation have jointly pledged to donate huge sums of money towards the eradication of polio in Kano State.

He also established the Dangote Academy.

Is Dangote not someone else's father too? Why must he disrespect him over a true empowerment he did for a whopping 34,000 people when his own daddy couldn't empower one person

Dangote is a wise businessman.
He makes his money in the south nd use it to empower people in the north.

His trucks kills nd destroy people nd their properties in the south but u hardly hear that's his truck kill a fly in the north.

While Boko Haram are killing southerners that joined the army in north, his trucks are killing civilians in the South

See, the empowerment is true, they gathered those women in a school from each local government and oriented them on daily basis. Fear catch me when I see the daily refreshment of those women. 1 quarter of a chicken on top rice wey make sense. I was salivating that day I witnessed it in funtua and kankara local government

God bless you jor.

At least our empowerment in the east is clear for everyone to see.

Not this audio empowerment we can't see. angry

Have you started making returns for the hired wheelbarrows?
Don't forget the region you re defending has been in power for over 40 years so they don't have any business being poor or receiving aids or empowerment but still they re among the poorest in the world but the region you chose to castigate have been striving on their own even after destroying their land and properties during the war they still rank better than those who have been in power....

To ME oooooooooo, our rich people should try more than giving 10k and or wheelbarrow to people, for empowerment, rather they should train them with trades or vocation. then invest on them or establish them, even if such can be conditioned 4 continuity. 10K will get no 1 any where in this country presently o cos e nor even rich buy half bag of RICE OR BEANS. na ALLAH sure pass, this i know.

The issue is that there are many different types of people and their needs are different. So, for example, Dangote already provides scholarships to a lot of people. Those are the people that require scholarships. He established the Dangote Academy where people are taught business skills and vocations. That's for people that require that type of training. He also provides credit/funds, such as this 10k, for people who are into small business. These are not people who don't have any money at all, rather they are people who already have small businesses and just need a little extra to improve their business. Then he also does charity work, where he provides money for free polio treatment, money for refugees, for e.g. people who are suffering the effects of flood or Boko Haram insurgency, etc.

(In fact, this is one of the reasons that the people of Gboko eventually accepted Dangote's purchase of BCC, because he provides a lot of scholarships and vocational training opportunities to people from Gboko).

So it's not a one size fits all situation.
