I am a graduate of mechanical engineering but presently teaching in a public primary school in Kaduna state. I currently registered for PDE which without it we will be sacked ( December deadline for unqualified teachers). Iam one of the Msc local awardees, the just released list. I can't combine the two (Msc and pde). I don't want to loose the two either. I want to retain my teaching job because my family depends on it. the questions that worried me are:
1. Can I defer the Msc Lss to 2021 without admission letter
2. if yes, how can I defer it.

Yes that's it they don't take local scholars serous. But very soon they would take us serous now that the price of oil has fallen, overseas scholarship I think is no longer sustainable. Let's watch and see.

Hello guys I don't know if you could help, my profile's name has been mixed up i.e my first name being the surname and my LGA isn't Incorporated,but everything else is fine...When i login I can't amend it, because there has been no room for that...So what do u think guys should i complain to them or do you think the matter could be amended in due course ..
Secondly does tuition fee mean the same thing as reg.fee for UG please.

November will make it two years the application for 2018/2019 was done and the awardees are yet to receive anything.
From the look of things, they are seriously looking for ways to ... Very soon PTDF will be telling the awardees that some are qualified for only one- or two-years scholarship. If we remember, as at the time of application the PG applicants were only in the first few months of their programs (as specified in the call for application).
Then after the long period of selection/screening, the tune of communications from PTDF has become autocratical. They are bringing many conditions. For example: “…We have other channels that we attend to enquiries. Any one that sends a message privately will automatically be blocked… Kindly note that as an awardee of the PTDF Scholarship, you cannot apply for another scholarship. If you wish to do so, you will have to reject the PTDF Scholarship during documentation. We collaborate with most of the scholarship bodies and we share data between us. Anyone found violating our terms might loose both scholarships …”.

Let us get the records straight, the list of awardees was published by the end of November 2019, when some other scholarships have been applied or are ending (eg. The application for FSB was almost ending).

They are now using COVID-19 as excuse for documentation. Why can’t they embrace technology? Every documentation (or additional verification) can be done using the Internet. Let PTDF learn from foreign scholarship bodies. I do not think most foreign scholarship bodies require physical documentation process. The awardees can submit all required documents through the portal and payment can be made to them. As a matter of fact, I believe that PTDF has most of the documents (if not all) because they were submitted during the application and screening processes.

Thats why they just making all these statements.Physical documentations is not necessary this period. Our original credentials have been screened during the interview. All recent online updates have been done including payement receipts, admission letters and bank account details.All they need is to fast track our award letters and credit our account. What else do they want?

Here are my suggestions:
PTDF should state the worth of the scholarship when making calls for application (next time), this is how foreign scholarship bodies operate.
Additionally, PTDF should state the session the scholarship will commence during the call for application.

Thats the big issue here they should make the process seamless.

The worst is reducing the years of payment.

How can they say the Scholarship is for 2years (MSc) and due to delay on their part, they cut out one year.

Same goes for PhD.

PTDF feel they can do anyhow with Local Scholars and nothing can happen. No one will talk because they risk being cut off.

Ask previous scholars. They will tell you.
That's why they've not sent any award letter.
At the point is documentation, they will decide the number of years then print the award letter for the number of years and give you.

What do you think is stopping them from sending award letters to email address long ago?
