Guys are you all aware both south east leadership of APC and PDP are both domiciled in same LGA and state..the south east PDP chairman (national vice chairman) in person of Austin Umahi is from uburu, ohaozara LGA of Ebonyi, same as South East leader of APC in the person of Ogbonnaya Onu who is also from uburu in ohaozara LGA of Ebonyi state..

This is unfair..Now that APC has gotten Imo state I think is fair to seed the APC leadership of South East to Imo..who knows whether that's why Umahi is feeling like a god behaving to be in APC and PDP at the same time..what do you all think?

Imo isn't complaining about it. The APC presidential ticket is what the likes of Rochas is aiming for. Imo holds the ace in APC unless more SE states decamp to the party.
The PDP presidential ticket would be the slug fest of Enugu, Ebonyi and Abia. Umahi seems to have the leverage here unless he decamps.

Well I was thinking opposition states are not meant to hold the position of party leadership..for instance PDP chairman is from Rivers state a PDP state and APC chairman from Edo state an APC state...do you get it now?

Well, I get it. It doesn't matter who is the chairman of the party in the SE. Imo state holds the ace. Rochas and his stalwarts signed the merger of the APGA faction that formed the APC at inception and have as much stake to the claim for the Presidential ticket than even the north. Imo also have the highest number of delegates in the SE.

Is aiite...I wish south east can be involved in both tickets. Ogbonnaya Onu has being known for his integrity though back in the days of being governor of Abia state and I'm sure he won't disappoint....it will really be nice if either Onu himself or Rochas contest and win the presidential ticket while Peter Obi or Umahi clinch the PDP VP ticket with a northerner...I really need eastern Nigeria to be attended to, it has been neglected in terms of railway connection and other developmental strides because it is simply out of the presidency

Stop equating Peter Obi to Umahi....such character as Umahi shouldn't be equated to Peter Obi. It is highly insulting and demeaning.

If Umahi wants to contest for Pdp vp ticket let me go and do so.

How can someone in his right senses be comparing a character like Umahi to Peter Obi.

Dedetwo, l'ugwnu ghu, that is exactly what Igbo nationalists are doing; force and coercion. Igbo nationalists simply lack an army and a navy with which to violently enforce it. However, I am of the strong opinion that Igbo nationalists would be as violent and as bloody as China and even Israel with how they've dealt with their neighbors. The internal activities going on during Biafra are even a prime example of the hostility Igbo nationalists are actually capable of.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

NaijirianKing, I hope I am not being presumptuous, but it does indeed seem to me that you are conflating white history in strange ways in order to justify your approach. To begin with, the Inquisition were not about race. They were about power. They were about keeping the Catholic Church in power and silencing dissent by any means necessary. The Inquisition was terrorism. I hope you understand that. It was not a grand plan to create "white power". It was terrorism by the Church to ensure that the Church held supreme power. To that end, force, fear-mongering and indoctrination were specific tools utilized by the Church to achieve this. If you truly want to liken your approach to that of the Inquisition, then I am beyond words. It simply sounds like you want to terrorize people into being die-hard Igbo fanatics. The Inquisition was not about white empowerment. It was not about white unity. It was about the Church.

I am severely concerned by your approach. Just at face value, I can see how much at odds it is with what I believe you truly want. I believe you truly want Igbo people to be true nationalists. In other words, their loyalty and pride comes from their own passion. I am of the opinion that you cannot achieve such true pride and true loyalty from an Inquisition-styled approach. You need to provide for people's basic needs or at least provide an environment in which they can acquire those basic needs. Undoubtedly, the decorum and the code will enforce itself in this manner. Any other approach, especially what I understand from you, is nothing short of terrorism.

In the annals of nationalist freedom fighters, there were no presence of army or navy. They were usual peasants, due to the love of the father land, picked up pitchforks, sticks and hunting guns and routed the establishment. Of course, nationalists had to be ruthless to avoid ill fate of the fence sitters

Let us tell ourselves the truth. The SE shouldn't settle for any useless VP ticket. Nobody cursed us with VP! Is it not a shame that since 1960 we've being selling our birthright for errand boy deputy. Zik was deputy to Balewa, same as Ekwueme to Shagari. Any Igboman in the PDP that wants to settle for the VP slot without fighting for the Presidential ticket should be stoned, that includes Peter Obi.
If the ticket rotates south then the SE should stake claim. Igbos in the APC would surely throw their hat into the ring for the presidential ticket, but as expected, the perennial sellouts in the PDP are dragging for VP.
2023 is the turn of the south and Ndigbo stand a higher chance to nick both tickets same way the SW did in 1999.
Whenever it returns north, then Atiku from the NE, as well as any NC candidate can fight for it come 2031. The SE/NE/NC are the zones that can stake claim to the Presidency. But the SE must demand that hallowed position and stop acting like losers.
Umahi for all I care may aim for the Presidency under the PDP. Ebonyi state has been a devoted PDP state since 1999 and deserves the Presidential slot, same as Enugu state.

My point is that if Igbo nationalists were to have an army and a navy, I have no reason to believe they would not employ bloody force and coercion. It happened before, and it can certainly happen again.

But the sabotage was taught them by Zik. Even when Alex Ekwueme of the NPN was vice, it was Jim Nwobodo of the NPP that became his arch-rival, yet Zik who led the NPP did nothing to call him to order. Ojukwu was stopped from the senate in 1983 by the NPP led by Zik. Was it not the same Zik that pulled down Eyo Ita from the premiership? All through Ekwueme travails it was the likes of Okadigbo who was his political adviser that stood strong with him, that on several occasions he had to use some wrong verbal words on our hallowed Zik.

Sometimes when you appreciate the political sagacity of Zik, you would always see a precedent of a broken man who elevated himself and his ambition above others, even above the aspiration of his own ethnic group. This changes may be inbred or may have happened after Awolowo broke his soul in the western regional elections. The pull him down syndrome began with Zik and other Igbo politicians learnt from him. Selfishness became the other of the day, that even till now the likes of Peter Obi and Rochas still practice such nonsense. While Rochas tries to make his a family and friends affair, Peter Obi on other hands is Zik reincarnate but this time not pan-african but a local tribal lord.

Every thing that have a beginning must have an end. It's high time Igbo politicians begin to rewrite the narratives. We as a people are not known for this sort of pull him down, culturally and otherwise. Igbo culture forbids it. An Igbo proverbs say Egbe belu, Ugo belu. This is the reason why, I see the likes of David Umahi, Sullivan Chime, Chibuike Ameachi, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Ken Nnamani and Ogbonaya Onu as truly Presidential material with the sagacity of Alex Ekwueme.
Ndigbo must aim from the Presidency, get it and change the narrative by showing real leadership. Anyone aiming for VP in Igboland should be stoned.

These are the clowns someone is projecting- David Umahi, Sullivan Chime, Chibuike Ameachi, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Ken Nnamani and Ogbonaya Onu.

Even Amaech from SSi is now included by this clown to take slot wherein SE(Igbos) are supposed to produce the next president.

Ngige is even the most relevant Igbo politician in APC, popular in SE and Nigeria at large to clinch the APC presidential ticket. Ngige has not corruption issue too.

Politics is all about popularity and about which state has been APC or PDP all.

Obi from APGA led state was nominated as PDP vice presidential candidate because he is the most popular politician presently in SE. Even serving officers like Ekweremadu were not even considered.

Onitsha is becoming a mega city but it’s time to aggressively move it to the next stage.

1) onitsha need either an elected or appointed major.

2) onitsha needs a mega city mordernization plan.

3) onitsha needs to upgrade all infrastructures starting with closing all open gutters, building all internal roads and putting streetlights.

4) onitsha needs to mandate every land lord to repaint and maintain their houses every 10 years. Some landlords let their houses deteriorate. In addition, they must all plant flowers in front of their houses.

5) onitsha needs to develop its water front to mordern standard

6) onitsha needs to ban motor vehicles in main market areas and make the streets a walking street.

I have so many more ideas to modernize onitsha but I will stop here for now
