@izzou, don't mind that person he obviously doesn't understands the modus operandi of the business maybe hes one of those that go with the crowd simple with the mindset the business is booming.

Investors should ask people like Dru23 and their likes b4 going into it.

Which conditions? The one above? grin

Any new investor needs to understand how this business works. He obviously hasn't understood it yet

For any driver to give you 25k any week, he needs to make three or four times that amount. He will

Buy fuel
Recharge his phone
Pay Uber's commission
Feed himself everyday at least
Have some savings for maintenance(Guage tires, brake issues, wash the car) etc
These are just basics to keep the business running and paying the partner. Let's forget if he saves or not

What this means is the car must work. Like WORKK. In fact, anyone buying a tokunbo for uber(rental or HP) should first observe a minute of silence for the car. That car go suffer.

Back then, I drive anytime. I can make 8k net and some responsibilities will collect it. What that means is I have to hit the road again to recover. I can drive by 1am, 4am, anytime I want, because the owner money must complete and I must make something too grin

Of all conditions I've seen, this is the MOST RIDICULOUS grin.

But nitigriti said he's interested sha. So no wahala tongue

1. 2008 Gold Elantra.......bought toks and it has been on Uber platform 2+ years.....

2. 2007 Silver Elantra...... It has been on Uber for 3+ years.... Some wrk was done in the past ...nothing major...

My Point..... It has how you maintain the cars that matters .... Maintenance is the key in all things you do...be warn it is not easy at all ,but possible

Has he done e hailing before in Abj?

The very first month, he is going to use n get a hang of the workings of the city.

If he works hard, maybe 6- 8 k net daily . Mon to Friday.

Are you the patient type?

Cos uber/ taxify racket in Abj will not begin to pour out cash the way people view it.

Telling u dis so DT I don't burst ur bubble.

Ups n downs in earnings.

Tell your friend to go to the Uber Abuja thread n read up, I put some troubled areas where he shdnt pick or drop.

Cos wen requests r not forthcoming, he MIT b tempted to start picking n dropping on d street.

Na how jjc drivers dey enter agbero hand.

Don't. Pick strangers at nite. No Mata how juicy d offer is.

So tell him to read up n get street savvy.

Thank you very much.
Please I can't see the Abuja uber topic, can you kindly share the link, and would you mind if I get your contact, I will like us to sit together and discuss, because you seem to be an integral part of the biz. 07039397083

Why not tell us how many times you've changed shocks, bushings, serpentine belts, fixed AC issues, tyres, radiator fan, maybe and the rest?

Tell us how much you've spent on these

When I used "SUFFER", I meant the car will work and work. I didn't mean it will have shattered screens and broken lights.

If you buy quality parts ± good drivers + good mechanic = less time downtime at the shop....

Good quality shocks.... Should last at least six months from experience

Tires.... Have change tires quite often, likely due to ignorantly buying winter tires or low quality tires or both..

Bushings...... Can't recall I change bushings often, but once change it should last a good six months or so ....

A/c..... The trick is to go to the right shop to fix A/c. Unfortunately not too many good A/c shops are around. Most tend to use the wrong A/c gas that ends up damaging compressor .... Also people do not check their a/c filter for dirt or dust.. If they do they just dust off the dirt instead of replacing the filter..... The last time I had a.c. issue was 1year ago. I had to buy my own compressor and took to radauto to fix .. Since than no more a/c issues at all . If I do have one , I know where to go to

Serpentine belt... I change some last two years or so .. I bought the original from the USA..

Ps. If you buy original good parts , it will help reduce your downtime.....

Someone go con dey tell me say follow the map, wey be say sometimes destination na him some people dey put as pick up. Abegi o, mi o le wa ku.
