The National President of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), Muhammadu Kirowa, says that the association have broken ties with the Yoruba nation for going ahead with their Amotekun Security Network.

Kirowa speaking at Abuja says that the association and it’s affiliates will cease to support the political ambitions of the Yoruba people, saying that the much debated Amotekun Security Network was formed to disrupt cattle herders.

We cannot be supporting those who are against us. The only reason for forming Amotekun is Fulani people, to drive us away from their land.Tell me are we not all Nigerians?

I have seen that the Amotekun boys have been armed. If they are armed, we have no choice than to arm cattlemen because they need to protect themselves from the danger which Amotekun will pose to them.

They cannot reject Ruga and also reject open grazing, they must choose one. All I can tell you now is that they are pushing us too far. They are really pushing us to the walls. We have held meetings with relevant government agencies and they promised to look into the issue.

How can they go ahead with Amotekun when the police issued them notice to stop? How can they ignore the President’s directive? I see that there is an evil motive behind this security network.

I heard they have also endowed them with charms to kill our cows. For any cow killed, their government will pay double for it. For every Fulani herdsman killed, violence will erupt. We have been oppressed for too long. It’s time to tell Yoruba people that we are not cowards and by Allah’s power, we will crush Amotekun and crush all their evil plots against the Fulani race.

Funny

If Amotekun is gainst the Fulani agenda as alleged in Mitetti Allah's statement.

And if Amotekun stands for protection of liges and property of the Yoruba nation. Then if spinned around it means the defenselessness of the Yoruba lives, properties and waste of life is a Fulani agenda which Amotekun stands as an affront against.

So in essence it means the death of innocent people through killer cow rearers is a Fulani agenda cheesy

I forgot to say if Amotekun as it is remains a regional, political and/or national matter, the objection to it's reality by Mitetti Allah needs to be probed, along with Mitetti Allah's involvement and connection in all murder cases through bandits.

It indirectly means M.A is challenged by the establishment of this outfit cause it benefits indirectly or directly from the misdeeds of killer bandits amongts it's membership making it responsible for those killings to which it should be held accountable

BTW there's no corruption higher than the provision of security for lives for the nation's citizens

The establishment of Amotekun is also decentralization and dismantling the nation's security apparatus albeit gradually, hence the nation is already on it's path towards a decentralized regional country. Although with the security of lives and properties paving the way

The only consistent thing with this administration is it's consistency in inconsistency ..We trust speakers will continue to disarm Apc lies and won't be cowed to a corner to speak the truth to authority. Never

The north heads all the security agencies and the military, and they have done so for decades on end to the exclusion of the south.

They monopolize the instruments of coercive state power, and the political authority to wield it and apply always to their advantage. In this they brook no opposition.

So much so they want to dictate how the south close their doors at night to sleep. In the throes of palpable insecurity the security and military aparachik they control have failed woefully to provide answers.

Yet when the south west declares operation amotekun to protect themselves, the north goes up in arms demanding the organization be disbanded.Have you seen anything like that? Beats me completely.-Credits to original author.

Imagine a terrorist group having a say in the affairs of Nigeria no thanks to the certificateless, half-dead, dullard in Nigeria, who deceived gullible Nigerians to emerge president.
This terrorist group will regret when that useless thing in Abuja leaves that seat.

But it is very unfortunate that the Fulani has not had the same “live and let live” approach to other ethnic Nationalities in Nigeria.

The Fulani concept of living is that others have to die, so that the Fulani may live.As far as the Fulani are concerned, other peoples of other ethnic nationalities are second rate slaves to be used, dumped, maimed, raped or killed for the good of the Fulani man.

The Fulani see Nigeria as his great grandfather’s inheritance to be toyed with as he wishes and as he wants. This attitude of Fulani makes him believe that he has to rule wherever he is, regardless of his comparative intelligence and capability to that of his host among other reasons.

Yoruba never ever had a ties with Fulani killer herdsmen. If you lead your cows into any farm in Yoruba land, AMOTEKUN will eat your cows up while we the custodian of AMOTEKUN will use you the herdsmen for money rituals.

This is where some people miss the point & why I would, in my own opinion, regard BAT's comments on Amotekun as not good enough for such a prominent political figure from the SW as he failed to speak to the crux of the matter.

The opponents of the security outfit are not concerned with if Amotekun is a constitutional state backed or regional security outfit, they oppose any form of security outfit designed to protect the SW & this is what BAT should have spoken to or addressed.

The opponents of Amotekun do not care about the legality or otherwise of the structure of it, they are simply against any form of organised security network outside what the FG provides (which is firmly in the hands of a specific ethnic group) or what they themselves deem as necessary, ergo, Hisbah & CJTF.

It was ok for BAT to try to rise above ethno-political sentiments, but he should have addressed the issue of opposition of the security outfit squarely rather than dancing around constitutional legalities which is certainly not what the opponents of Amotekun actually mean.

That said, Amotekun should be open to all & a ratio should be allocated to non-yorubas of proven good standing who have resided in the area for at least 10 years & have been recognised as detrabilised to a large extent. Hopefully, this will make the outfit more inclusive & calm frayed nerves.

My two cents...

What a gut!

Indeed these guys are protected specie.

Imagine Ohaneze had issued this kind of threat on behalf of Igbo traders in southwest, do you know how many arrests that would have been made?

So you know that Fulani cause trouble any where they go. If that is the case, I put it to you that, you and your kinsmen are accomplice in crime for intentionally rigging-in while providing a Fulani man the required media and political support to come in and cause mayhem.
