Madam you're right but sometimes good information goes long way. I lost my first pregnancy because of lack of knowledge and the hospital was not good at all. After my incident, I was told that babies die a lot in that hospital even including mothers. Because loosing baby@37weeks is very painful. That is why good information is very powerful.

I would have lost my second pregnancy too but information given to me here really help. Are you aware that am on hospital bed?I learnt it here that when you discovered something unusual, the person should rush to the hospital immediately that it what saved my baby this week ooooo.

But sincerely speaking, I think all pregnant and nursing mothers should try and get HMO. It reduce stress and it save the family from extra cost.

Madam, my one year HMO saved me from spending extra cost on the following list below:

1)Fibroid operation with 5days admission including drugs(it would have cost me 350k)
2)Cerclage procedure with 3days admission(it would have cost me 300k)
3)5days bed rest with drugs and injection(100k)
4)Antenatal care which include my routine drugs and cyclogest from week2 to week 28(it would have cost me 200k). In fact, I've done series of scan and test without spending any money from my personal pocket.

Ma'am, I change because my new office is using hygeia while my former office was using Anchor HMO. The HMO that I've used so far really saved me and my family from extra cost.

No problem ma'am, she said any advice for her in case of the next time. I waited for years before my conception too so it very painful to even lose pregnancy at 4weeks how much more at the last month but what you think is not useful to you might be useful to someone else. You can't understand because we that waited for long understand more and also value information that helps.

Imagine one of my ovary was cut off and the doctor was begging me and husband that it was a mistake. The doctor damage a lot of people ovary and uterus. He will later beg the family for his mistake.I later find out after our own incident. So, good information saved life biko......

Lolzz at pako,some are stingyyy!!! and some hospitals dont like attending well to HMO patients.
Hygeia is one of the best,I will change to them soon sef and they own lagoon hospitals too.
I use Sterling Health,they are good too but stingy small.
It also depends on your plan,each plan have treatments that is been covered by it.

Am using DH HMO and It has saved us sooooo much money,since I got married I have not paid 5naira for hospital bill including my CS and 1week hospital stay in private ward ,full AC,TV,better food,drugs,drips,tests,antenatal fees and scans.
If we where to pay for all that we would have spent about 900k.

Yes ma'am. I added 40k to my own because I noticed me and husband will be using hospital for a lot of things. Ma'am, Imagine if I was not using HMO, how can I get all the money.

Doctor will just call you after cross examination during antenatal appointment and said you will need to do cerclage next week and it will cost 250k without medicine. What someone did not plan for. So ma'am, you can't understand how happy I am because I've been going to hospital often with the help of HMO.

Very sorry for your lost ma'am. I don't understand ooooo? You mean they don't check your baby and you don't do vitals any time you go for antenatal? In my own hospital now, they check our babies through scan during antenatal appointment without extra pay.

For instance, it was during the scan they discovered that I was having contraction without me even aware at all and I was admitted. They have checked my baby heartbeat more than 8times today. Still on bed rest sha....

Ma'am, I hope the doctors in that hospital are professional?

My own advice is that make good research about the hospital before using them and we also need to put our self and baby in prayer. Don't worry ma'am, God will give you double blessings of your trouble.

Cord round a baby's neck is just a sad thing. Same happened with my mum's first child. Truth it a scan doesn't always pick up the cord around the neck thing, even if it did, there is no telling how tight or loose it is and a definite decision can't be made because of that. Babies are born with cords round their necks all the time and are fine.

You cant control how a baby moves in the tummy, one day you are fine, next day baby might have turned so much and somehow made the cord become tight around the neck. It takes just few hours for some of these things to happen. You can go to your antenatal on Monday and by Wednesday, it will be different story, the mother might not know because towards the end of pregnancy, less movement is expected due to the cramped space.

Childbirth and pregnancy are not always textbook process or procedures, anything can happen. One just has to pray for God's mercy and favour.

Please I am miserable. This is an anonymous account. I’m 8 months along and the stretch Marks on my stomach are so bad, they are all over my stomach and they are very very black. Hmmmm. My sister, you see this thing called pregnancy ehn, anything can happen. Pregnancy, childbirth and motherhood is a very selfless thing and honestly it is about sacrifices. My dear sister I dont think anything I say will make you feel better but my dear you have to hype yourself. I currently have zero self confidence after 2kids, infact I am not sure who I am anymore but we still push through. Some people have it easy, some don't. We are all secretly battling one thing or the other caused by either childbirth or pregnancy.

I sincerely believe it might not bother you so much when you meet your baby. Some stretchmarks are very rugged, I don't have them but my sister does, hers even appeared after childbirth, its been 7years now and it is there but the appearance is waaaaaaaaay better now.

Stretchmarks doesn't go totally but you can greatly reduce the appearance. There's someone on instagram; mims Ali, I can vouch for her stuff although she is pricey. You can try her.

Just give yourself time to heal, both physically and mentally. You did great bringing another human to life. You will be fine

Good morning Ma'am, I think other ma'am using NHIS will enlighten us more on it. But HMO payment are done yearly or quarterly, after the payment, the person will be covered for the treatment during that period. What I normally do was that, before I embark on any HMO, I ensure the benefit are okay for me and my family. I also make sure I get my HMO officer number in case I'm having any issues in accessing my HMO.
