God exists. God is truth. God is love. On the surface... Leah Sharibu's case is disheartening. But one thing is certain: God works best when the hour is darkest. He has promised never to leave or forsake His people. Have we forgotten the case of Joseph the dreamer? He was sold, as a slave, by his own blood brothers, who initially wanted to murder him. He was just a teenager. He was carried away to a foreign land. He was lied against and then imprisoned for about 13 years. In the end...what happened? He became Egypt's prime minister. And how about Daniel and his three friends? Who were carried away as slaves to Babylon? Over time they became chief rulers in their land of captivity. And what about Esther? She eventually became queen in a foreign land. And then we have Job...who lost his kids and all be owned. Eventually, it was divine doubles for all his troubles. My friends... God is watching over Leah Sharibu. And no matter how dismal her present situation may appear...it is all to the Glory of God. John 9:1-3. At the appropriate time...God's chosen time...Leah Sharibu will rise to powerful heights of greatness. God doesn't prevent all problems from happening; He allows some...but He is right there with us in both the water and fire. So my best advice is for us to continue to do our best to honour God. Insults and abuses are simply indications of mental immaturity. Your finite mind can never comprehend an infinite God. You can never 'figure' Him out. You receive Him by revelation and relate with through your fourth dimension... which is your spirit. God isn't responsible for man's misfortunes. We are primarily responsible for what happens, good or bad, to us on Earth...our house...just like a tenant is primarily responsible for what he or she does in her apartment. That is the consequence of freewill. And God will never encroach on anyone's freewill. It's an indisputable fact that God is love. That is why all kinds of 'spiritual bats' can heap blames, insults, abuses, resentment, etc on God... and seem to get away with it. But know this, dear atheist: a man is justified or condemned by his words. What you say today will eventually speak for or against you when you eventually die and open your eyes in eternity...only to find yourself staring right into the eyes of Almighty God. And then you suddenly realise that the joke has been on you all this while. And the fun part is...I and other believers will be right there with the last laugh. And boy... we will laugh at you guys... My simple advice: repent and retrace your steps to God. There is no gain in hating God or denying His existence. It makes absolutely no sense. You didn't create yourself; you didn't create the air you breathe; you didn't create a single thing in existence...and yet here you are...mocking the One who did...simply because you have allowed yourself to believe the twisted notion that He doesn't care about mankind's problems? Guy1979: Simple points, an infinite god will have no need for the attention aka praise and worship of finite beings nor will it impose weird, contradictory and dumb conditions as prerequisites for obtaining it's special favour because it is not limited in anyway. EDIT: There 3 possibilities in the idea of the existence of a god: 1. A god or gods do exist but we have never met it or them. 2. We have met a god or gods but we have constructed human centric ideas of the god or gods. 3. No god or gods exist. In any of the 3 cases the idea of a god or gods is actually useless, as they provide no interaction/effect that humans cannot already figure out. EDIT 2: We have no true analogues for infinity but check it out, the universe around us has existed for billions of years according to what we currently know, an incomprehensibly long time to our human minds. This universe has formed a cradle for our existence yet demands nothing from us in return. The sun shines, the rain falls and these aid our food to grow yet not once has rain demanded worship or the sun hidden itself and asked us to build a temple to meet it in secret.
