sisisioge:una go adjust, like Abuja people have adjusted. The trekking is the least of your worries. The dependence on private cars should now concern you, because that will leave pedestrians open to all sorts of criminal activities. Plenty armed robbers in Lagos also have cars, after all, a brand new keke is more expensive than some second hand cars. 9 Likes |

I trekked from Adeshina Ike Ira (Ogba axis) to Berger going to work. It was a good experience though, and I think it's a good development to ease the state of nuisance and rowdiness and congestion. It will make Lagos look more as other developed climes. I feel for those affected whose source of livelihood depends on the banned autos, and I pray God see them through and make better provisions for them for survival. We will get adopted to it within a short time. 5 Likes |

safarigirl: Well, it just shows how terribly inconsiderate the govt is. Was an alternate means of transportation provided for the Abuja folks after the keke was ban? This same govt endorsed the Maxokada and co, they let them invested heavily yet decided to ban now. How terribly inconsiderate! 4 Likes |

Dareal90s: It is not even just the drivers. The Mechanics who repair them, the people who opened shop to sell keke spare parts. I just did a little trek where they usually repair keke close to my shop, the place was just empty. One good thing is the hold-up and commotion they cause in front of my shop have disappeared. My shop is right in front of a major bustop where they all congregate 4 Likes |

sisisioge: Most Abuja folks depend on private cars. It is even worse here, because there are no keke, no okada and no buses. It is just cars. Even the El-rufai buses that was started almost ten years ago, are now a rare find. For the most part, if you want to move around Abuja, it is only with cars. It is even worse for residents outside the city and a majority of the FCT residents live outside the city centre. Crime rates have risen in Abuja since the banning of these modes of transportation. The Nigerian government is generally insensitive and have no regard for wealth creation or distribution, but that is what happens when reformed thugs and persons of questionable character are voted into power. 10 Likes 1 Share |

chijokz:1) how about equipping police and training dem better. 2) okada isn't the only road machine causing accident, how about banning dangote trucks Also. 3) you bLame the police for lack of security not the citizens. 4) Lagos is far for mega city modernization....we are still a fucking 4rd world country....broke ass, low developed state. there's nowhere in Lagos you can drive 100mph continuously for 20mins nonstop. 5 Likes |

My problem is on the Mainland. On the Island, bloody cruise in your car, traffic isn't that annoyingly much. But Mainland? How I want take do am? Traffic once held me between Marine Bridge and Boundary Market in Ajegunle for close to 2 hrs. Since then, if I have any reason to go there, na bike matter be dat o. Though I doubt if that area is affected by the ban. |

Man.. Like seriously its not funny at all. And to think I just got a school around that bode thomas area which requires keke for fast and easy movement to that axis from yaba. Chei! And we already concluded on the offer. Will I go and start telling them to review the pay upwards to enable me meet up with the cost of transportation? Well.... I'll improvise. Thank God its a once a week something. Wait o....na the whole of Lagos fa...other far schools too ha! And I com like keke now eh? Even if I see bus, I'll just ignore and enter keke one time. Chai! It is well. At least those mini buses are not among. I trust commuters, they will switch to the.mini buses and life continues. Its also shows it high time baba God blessed me with a car. 2 Likes |
