A pity! He was a great man who sought a better Nigeria. He even lost his younger brother to political assassination at one time.
Yet, the SW with whom he risked his life under NADECO abandoned him as well as other Igbo's who died for June 12. A struggle with a national outlook ended up as a Yoruba resilience while the key actors from other tribes benefited nothing.
Jee nke oma people's hero, may you soul rest in peace.
How was he abandoned?
How did it end up being Yoruba? Did the whole of Nigeria not become democratic after May 29th 1999 or did some parts of Nigeria remain under military rule?
Or you mean the great Arthur did not stoop low like some to collect handouts and begi begi all over Nigeriahuh?

The Yoruba elites have always made it seem that NADECO was a Yoruba thing; meanwhile, cowards like thîefnubu & Soyinka ran away to London while this man remained in Nigeria and faced many attempted assassination.

so why were the Yoruba feeling like only them carried out the fight and struggle?
Basically because the military made it a Yoruba affair by systematically cutting off non Yoruba notable supporters of June 12 starting with the Vice Presidential candidate Babagana Kingibe who was made a strong member of the Abacha government. By mid 1994; most of the protests were in the West. Other parts of the country had lost interest. There were still many leaders from the North , East and SS who supported June 12, but the average Ibo, Ijaw or Hausa man was not really Interested in part because majority of the leaders from those zones were not.
By 1998, Abacha had seriously persecuted and killed many Yoruba and MId west June 12 leaders and by then it was an issue of the Yorubas" been chanced ". Thats why in 1998, all the political and military leaders decided after Abacha and MKO died to let a Yoruba rule and both parties presented Yoruba candidates

knows that the source of the money they pay him is the proceed of Corruption. Yet, he comes here condemning Corruption, whereas he wallows deep in Corruption.

He came here cursing those who are Corrupt in Nigeria the other day, not knowing that he himself is a very Corrupt, filthy element. He was, therefore, placing a curse on himself without knowing.

Nibo or Nise? You are not from Orumba north then. Umuawulu by road, not sure but I think you’d pass Nibo, Nise then Agulu, Nanka, Oko or Ekwulobia...

This life is so fleeting (I hope I spelt it right?

Many of we actors in this world, even on Nairaland, will either be old or married with children in 20years time. Some sadly will be dead. Use your time wisely.
