Not so easy, however, if you drive in Lagos, you won't mind whatever consequences emanate from the ban.
Those guys(both Okada and keke) are a nuisance. Someone will just dive into your front and expect you to match breaks in a flash and apologize to him.

Most times they brush your ride and still come and harass you. flying at the center of the express trying to compete with cars yet carrying passengers.
Most times cause an accident and escape while people are dying in the process.
They rob people early in the morning and evenings using guns and knives.

Their crimes are too much.

See what keke did to me

From nowhere.

I trekked from Stadium to Adeniran Ogunsanya mall and back. I been wan crase.

I used to do that years ago. There was no bus, keke or bike to take one beyond stadium or the roundabout at Masha. Trekking happily all the way to Rasaq Balogun, Jalupon close and then UTC stores which stood where you now have Filmhouse Cinema (by Adeniran Ogunsanya shopping mall).

Times have changed so much though.

Now imagine doing this for 365days to and fro, what is left?

my dear keep trekking, it is a part of exercise. Meanwhile the reason of the banning is for our own good. The influx of Hausa Fulani/ herdsmen in lagos state is on the high rise. Have you ask your self who is sponsoring these boys, who is giving them these keke and bike. Ndi Igbo siri na nwa nnunu na agba egwu n'uzo ihe na akuru ya egwu no nime ohia, meaning that, a bird that dances on the road the drummer is inside the bush. My dear pls keep trekking. God gave us leg to walk. You get leg they complain if no get leg you will still complain. Pls appreciate God for that.

I Jos tired for Lagos State fvcking Government
Some illiterates here be talking about health
Instead, let's get our various jobs going so we can feed ourselves and family

Until the politician brings himself to the level of the masses he’s still deceiving himself and is very clueless. Sanwoolu thinks governance is by going to Harvard. Thay where he made his mistake.

How can u ban Smtn so essential to people and livelihood without creating the alternative. Are u sure Ure ok? Or didn’t u study the demographics and uniqueness of the state

So, it's at the end of one year in office, we will know that you are the governor of this state?

Sanwo Olu is just looking for where his voice will be heard loud...

What about the hold-up everywhere in Lagos, he didn't see that as a problem to fix?

See the bad roads everywhere? No good roads anymore..Start expanding roads, build new bridges opening new routes, don't construct a road that should be completed in a month for 10yrs...

It seems the cabs (kabukabu) and some minibuses are taking the place of keke. I passed through the route today. Unfortunately I didn’t stop to confirm details. Go to your usual bustop on Monday. You’re likely to find a means of transport there. The cabs are under the bridge towards Ikoyi.

Thanks mam.....I really appreciate

Now, I think the keke and okada, man will learn their lessen , they bach peoples car and even beat the owner on top, they don t obey traffic light, and even keke sometimes are use for robbery,, if they can be banned for like two weeksas a sign of warning and tell the Union to give them proper orientation,

I'm in Lagos and I feel the plight of those without cars and I wouldn't call them lazy. But what you said made me rememberback in my university and NYSC days when I had plenty of free time and visited my friends/relatives in Calabar often. I remember trekking long distances just for the thrill. e.g Eta-Agbor to Marian market, Water board and beyond and then back. My folks and friends thought I was crazy and sometimes would offer to pay if Tfare was the issue.

I'll just smile, plug my earpiece and hit the walkways (something Lagos lacks a lot), though I still do these walks when I'm around VI.

Though I suppot your sentiments on walking- your agungi to megachicken example sounds like pure exaggeration.

Until November last year, I lived in Ikota villa (by that same Mega Chicken), and I can't count the number of times I walked to my aunt's place in Ilaje. Though always a one way trip cause I always go back using keke or bus

Lol, why you carry this thing for head like basket of plantain chips?

From the responses above it is clear that the black man is his own problem. Instead of thinking about the consequences of this decision or trying to come up with alternatives yeye people are celebrating up and down because they have cars, giving fake concern for our health.
