Provide evidence where the Police cleared him after investigations.. The matter was simply swept under the carpet after Obi made contacts, stop trying to deceive anyone.
Read your own source...it's all stated there. If you are in doubt, read my link there and other media sources. I'm done with talking to you guys.

Hahaha look at how you are trying so hard to defend your saint obi.... lmao... Is PDP controlled house the law enforcements or EFCC that would absolve, the article about absolving him were produced from Peter Obi's media office.. Guess what this case has not been closed yet, it could be reopened any moment as you can read below.. You are trying to hard..

Is it that you didn't read all that stuff or what? Wasn't it explained there that those funds were intended for vehicle purchase directly from the contractors Weren't the vehicles later purchased? Did the contractor not affirm that the funds were for that purpose as well? Why did they withdraw the case....my friend read your source till the end before you comment. Don't be naiive.

I'm done with y'all. I really don't know what you aim to achieve by this smear campaign. Same stuff Buhari, Elrufai, tinubu and all APC cohorts did to Johnathan (who was one of the best presidents Nigeria ever had)

It's like Nigerians generally hate good leaders, whenever one is rising up, they try to pull him down with useless lies and propaganda. Same thing is happening to Makinde at the moment. You guys really have a long way to go.

Stop deceiving yourself thinking you are deceiving anyone. Who was the contractor? Where is the source/evidence that the police concluded investigations and clear him of the case? Why did APC ask the police and Lagos State govt to reopen the case in 2013 long after the incidence.. It was because the case has not been finalized. It was simply swept under the carpet. Look at how you are trying fruitlessly to defend your corrupt obi. If it was another politician will you defend him like this?

My source said the police is yet to conclude investigations on the matter, show your own source where the police cleared him of the case since they started investigations.. Didnt you start of by saying he was never involved in any corruption scandal, what do we call this one

[s]Which stammering?? I can remember vividly well that the only sets of people who were stammering in the presidential interview with ladies were Buhari and Osibanjo.

Obi clearly stated that the said investment was a partnership between the Anambra state government and Padbod breweries [now owned by International breweries..makers of Budweiser, hero etc](which was a foreign investment he brought into the country) the said brewery which the Anambra state govt has a huge chunk of shares in was constructed with the funds you mentioned alongside the companies funds as was stated in the binding contract.

After the unprecedented success they recorded within a short period of time, the management of Padbod breweries gifted his family shares in the company (from their allocation of shares) for bringing them to Nigeria and convincing them to venture into that profitable venture.

The shares that were gifted to his family was not gotten before the investment by the state govt. It was after the company recorded massive profits in revenue. Again Anamba state still held their portion of shares intact, it was Padbod breweries that allocated a portion of their shares to him.

POST the video link to that interview with kadira and you will see it yourself. But if you doubt...you can also research other sources to verify what he said.

I will not reply you and that guy again, it's needless. You people are just hell bent on tarnishing his image, no kind of evidence nor explanation from me nor media sources will help.[/s]
lmaoooooo... You must think you are talking to a bunch of illiterates.. What is the relationship between Obi's family business in the company. IS it not corruption to invest state money in a company where you/your famiily has interest. Thats what Obi did. If any politician does it you will cry blue murder but you are here making excuses for obi. Nonsense
Re: Peter Obi: Life Is Not About Owning Billions by Samofamo: 9:29pm On Feb 02, 2020

Truly...you're quite dumb. Lemme reiterate what I said in a dumb man's language so maybe you'd understand.
You're the King of your village, your village lacks a proper winepress (where wine is prepared) but it has all the raw materials needed to make good wine.

Your village has some money but it is not enough to erect a good wine press and no one has experience on how to run a winery in the village, so you travel to the city. Then strike a deal with a wine company for a wine press to be built in the village as a partnership between the village and the wine company. The two entities would share costs 70-30 and the share ownership 70-30.

The wine press finally gets built in the village, within a month the press records more than 400% of the expected turnover same in the next 5 months. The MD is of the company whishes to appreciate you in the best way for bringing such a profitable business to his company.

He then gives your family 5% ownership out of his 70. Therefore the press is now 65% owned by the wine company, 30% owned by the village, 5% owned by your family.

The village still has its return on investments intact, your ownership is to the detriment of the wine company who lost 5% of its ownership as a gift to you. You didn't envisage becoming a part of the press management in the first place but it was gifted to you months...in this case a year after the press was built.

Obi's family didn't have any share in Padbod breweries before it was built in Anambra. It was only a year after it had been built and had a massive turnover that they were gifted a little percentage of Padbod's share of the company as appreciation.

Get this into your skull and stop being petty with your directionless arguments angry

Abosolute nonsense. Its still corruption. Its called kickbacks. Peter Obi invested the state money into the company and got the gifts to his family. As a governor you are not supposed to collect gifts in whatever form while you are in office, its the same thing as What Ganduje did in Kano, he awarded contracts and the contractors paid him dollars from their own profit. So what is the difference.. Go and learn the code of conduct for public officials before coming here to embarass yourself. Its obvious you dont understand the gravity of corruption with that act

Brothers, you have done your best.
Although, the two of you made some points too, so you guys should not take this too personal.

My take is, there is no perfect human.
Whether he invested the state funds in a business or not is a "moral issue"...and for me, I am particularly happy he didn't deny it (which means he is not morally bankrupt).

However, there are laid out rules for public office holders, regardless of the good you intend to do.
I believe he could have meant well, but he is also clearly an intelligent man to have gotten this far.

So, put yourself in his shoes, would you be a shareholder of the company from the beginning or would you "later" be a shareholder by a 'gift' (which somehow looks like a trojan horse) but in this case to deflect suspicion of his initial interest to have a major stake in the company, as may have been agreed from the beginning.

Whichever one, he played smart and that for me is the mind of a businessman. Under the law, he was gifted shares not money, which appears like a "thank you" and not a kickback. So, both of you have made your different points.
And it was nice reading from two intelligent men.
So don't call each other unprintable names.
Cheers wink

You have spoken well. I guess I overreacted by calling him dumb. I was just angered by their thought pattern. It's quite unfair to tarnish a good man's image, just for political gains. That man is the best thing to have happened to Anambra State since it's inception, all dividends of his government impacted positively upon the state as a whole down to the common man in the grassroots. Meet any petty trader in the Anambra markets even till today and Mention Peter Obi's name, and watch their face beam with smiles.

May God bless us all with Good leaders who are interested in the upliftment of the masses and the well being of commoners.

Obi can only fool the gullible.

Obi that was involved in several cases of money laundering as Governor of Anambra. In one instance, those moving cash for him were caught in Lagos.

Why did Obi move his in laws abroad immediately they were caught in Lagos with cash for him?
The man is shady.
