Though i'm not in support of the government taking away the source of survival from the bikes and keke drivers without first offering them an alternative, but i think this is a good development.
Too much tricycle and bikes runing around in a city constitute trash and pollution which further encourages insects, pests, mice, rats, pigeons, and flies all thriving Off of decomposing garbage.
Trash Clogs Drains. ...
Trash Pollutes Natural Resources.
Trash Turns Away Tourists.
Trash Lowers Property Value. ...
Trash Is a Safety Hazard. And not to talk about how those bandits from some parts of the nation are secretly executing their hidden evil plans in the south by killing, kidnapping, stealing etc all in the guise of a keke or a bike rider. Kudos to the Lagos government for this initiative.
if it is a good development, support it. Though Okada/tricycle business is a popular view, but unfortunately it is against development, it portends greater security danger in near future. We used to walk long distances before advent of Okada, we will go back to walk again which is even more healthy

u dey mind people with their thinking, taiwan india and other countries have been using the mode of transportation for ages and people are using it to survive, somebody will just receive AC sense go just leave it brain and the next thing is to make things more difficult, what bout those who bought keke n bike n gave it out what about those who only survive on transport now dey will have to relocate inside street an make change.

crime starts from little things

Yes and America and Canada and Italy and France and UK and Dubai and Finland and Norway and in fact the entire Europe have been using this means of transportation to survive too right?

Modernization comes with a price. If Nigeria is to get it right,so many errors need to be corrected by force and toes stepped on deliberately.

In as much as I feel bad for some people's source of living taken away and the effects on those without mobility..

However, Saturday and today happen to be my best driving experience as a born and bred Lagosian.

I wish alternatives are provided for non-mobile masses.

It was really sad seeing my fellow Nigerians stuck in bus stops with no hope of flexible mobility in sight..

LASG should do something about this ASAP

Stop being a tribal bigot. 50% of keke and bike riders are Yorubas. When they go hungry, what will you do to ameliorate your people. Nonsense.

Those street vendors hovering around would not allow lagos to look beautiful. Even with the ban, the place look messy
Dude, everything happens for a reason.
Solve their problem and they will go away.

They sell things on the road because they have no jobs.
They have no jobs because there are no industries to employ them.
There are no industries because we import finished goods instead of manufacturing them in the industries.
We import finished goods (phone, shoe, cars, watch) because we all think white men are better than us in everything....

We no go hear anything. Lagosian will survive. This is excellent for the good of the state. See CMS, I last saw this under Babangida's regime. Gradually, government will see feasible ways of allowing formal riders not the insane riders from displaced communities. Lagos ain't a dump ground
