I was comparing Samsung galaxy s8 with Xiaomi Redmi note 8 and the major difference is the super AMOLED screen if not other spec are almost the same well except for the processor with slight difference when it comes to processing speed. I guess the AMOLED screen makes pic appears better

I wonder why you will do this to yourself knowing fully well what will happen when that screen cracks, there are other smartphones there that are way cheaper

People have their preferences. You should know what you getting yourself into once you are buying a high quality tech. After all there are people that need and buy them and can't allow fear hold them down.

AMOLED display is also a contributing factor, durability, processor and brand name are also included.

Samsung are still expensive today, I was surprised that galaxy A51 is sold at 103,800k with just 4gb ram. When Nokia 7.2, Xiaomi note 8 pro, Huawei Y9s and the rest are 6gb ram and are sold from 100k and below

Not just screens brand names too, LG makes good phones with OLED too but it's usually less expensive than Samsung especially the resale value (2nd hand & uk used)

I second this motion. Because Samsung's low range and some midrange devices are usually scraps take for example the A10 but still sell at an unreasonable amount.

my cousin wants to buy a Samsung phone between the ranges of 90-100k. which should he go for.

I'll rather buy their scrap than waste money on chinko like tecno..my A10 performance and display beat some of infinix flash ship devices, you'll know the difference when you use Samsung A series, and it can run pub g and pes 2020 smoothly

Don't compare exonys chip to all those scrap people are pumping into the smartphone market, buy something that'll be worth your money

Better run from them. Why buy a beautiful phone you eventually can't use.

The A10 uses a mid range mediaTek chipset and its display is IPS LCD HD+ with 2GB RAM so how can it beat a flagship (e.g infinix note 6)? Unless your just talking out of the prestige that's it's a Samsung device.

You’re paying for the goodwill and name of the brand.

Class has a price. Same with apple.

Androids are very good phones and arguably better than apple phones(which I use myself)

But. There’s this misinformed general notion in the society that android is for peasants. Its a bad notion, but it exists anyway!
However because of the samsung brand name, when you use their products, you buy yourself OUT OF PEASANTHOOD.

Moreso when you buy samsung flagships, You are now fit into the “societal standard” of having that special class.

A phone is more than a device for communication today, it’s also an ornament, a status symbol. That is why a lot of people would rather prefer to own mediocre samsung/apple phones, than to own highend non-designer(permit me to use this term) models like tecno, Just to be percieved as belonging to that special class.

Even as an apple user, if I’m switching to andriod, its samsung or nothing.


Its all rubbish, I know. But it is what it is.
