It doesn't work.
My account was hacked sometimes last year. When i tried to enter my email address or phone number, i was told that it doesn't match any account. Till date, I've not been able to access the account.

We hope it helps......

If your facebook account was hacked by someone and you really want it back this tutorial would help you get it back.

Step 1:
First goto this link. https://www.facebook.com/hacked
Click the button "Your account has been Compromised".

Then type in your email address, Login name , Full Name or your specified Phone No.

Then facebook would search for matching users. If you still don't see your account, try entering something else other than the one you entered.

( for example if you entered your phone number and it didn't work try entering your email or Login name.) Most of the time using your email would be the wisest choice.)

And hit Search.

Step 2:
Well now the kind of difficult part begins. But I don't think it would be for you.

Now for this step you got to enter your account's password. Well if you knew the password you won't be here anyway, cause you don't know your new password the Hacker's changed, enter your old password. The password that you use, to enter into your account before you got HACKED

Step 3:
Then cause you entered an old actually now wrong password this page will come up.
Well no need to be down yet. Just click the reset my password button.

Step 4:
Your primary email would be changed so well of course you don't want to send your reset your password link to the hacker's account so, Click "no longer have access to these?" link.

Step 5:
Well now you almost got your account back.
Now write your new email address that you want to send the change password link as well set as your primary email.

Step 6:
Well now, follow the next steps and you would have your account back in 24 hours.

I think u should just create another one. A friend of mine's account was also hacked last week. Foolishly, the hacker uploaded his own picture as his profile picture. And this hacker happens to be an Oyinbo, perhaps, a Russian. He had no choice but to create another one.

Forget those profile pictures and names used.... the hackers re our fellow Nigerians. They normally go after old Facebook accounts, hack it den sell it out for between 10 to 50k.

simply check your mail box that's if you opened it with an email. when you check your mail box, Facebook must have mailed you telling you that you are about to change some info and all that..scroll down to where you get the line : "if it's not you, click the link below... blah blah blah" just follow the link and subsequent instructions. ...good luck..

It all started some days ago when a friend called me to ask why I changed my profile picture on Facebook and before I could respond, he asked if am now into "yahoo yahoo" stuff.
I was surprised with those questions and told him that I didn't change my profile picture on Facebook in recent time. I told him that I couldn't even remember the last time that I changed it for it has been awhile.

So I tried to verify his claims by trying to log in to my fb account immediately, but I was unable to log in.

I discovered that my account has been hacked into and the hacker has practically taken it over.
The name, email address and the phone number I used to open the account has already been changed.

All my efforts to retrieve it from the impostor since has not been successful.

Please what can I do to get my account back?

simply check your mail box that's if you opened
it with an email. when you check your mail box,
Facebook must have mailed you telling you that
you are about to change some info and all
that..scroll down to where you get the line : "if
it's not you, click the link below... blah blah blah"
just follow the link and subsequent instructions.

How Hacking Works & How To Retrieve Hacked Account

Of many requests I have gotten as a web designer, a large chunk of them usually come from scammers. What do they want? They want me to help them hack through Facebook profiles. Knowing how this works will help you secure your accounts even further.

For the records, I have never, will not and do not develop phishing websites. This is for education purpose.

Phishing is a method of taking people's personal data illegally such as passwords, bank card numbers, and other information. Knowing the mechanism involved will help you identify one when you see it.

The simple way hackers get access to your password is by using HTML & PHP. They use the source code of the Facebook login page to develop what looks like a Facebook login page. Within the HTML, they link a PHP code that picks up your username and password if you ever type them on the login page.

Your username and password are saved on a TXT file and this way they can just open the text file, see your username and password. This is a simple thing to do with a little working knowledge of HTML & PHP.

Now, they get you to log in by sharing the link to you. For example, you may see stuff like "LEAK: See how Davido & Tonto Dikeh spent the night after Night of Thousand laughs" and because you are too carried away by irrelevant gossips, you'd click on the link to see!

On opening, you may see exactly what looks like a Facebook login page that says "you must log in first" and because this looks exactly like Facebook login screen without minding the link in the URL bar, you may put in your login details and this submits your private information to the hacker.

This is the mechanism: the HTML code gives you the login page, the PHP code collects your password and drop it on the TXT file. It's not rocket science and these hackers aren't more intelligent or smarter than you.

Your card details can also be taken this way. You may see stuff like "click here to win airtime" or "click here get instant #5,000". Every single detail you give these people can be used.

In case you activated 2nd authentication or they are about changing your code, you may get a call like "hello Sir, you've been selected as a winner of Facebook iPhone promo. A code has been sent to you and it is your winning code, please call the code so I proceed with sending your winnings." There are so many formats but they will eventually request a code.

How to ensure your account is safe:

Update your phone number and emails on Facebook and other social media handler.

Stop using emails and phone numbers you no longer have access to. When something goes wrong with your account, you may lose it forever.

More security measures:

1. Update your Social Media Details

2. Verify your phone number and email

3. Change your passwords and log out of all previous devices.

4. Activate TWO-AUTHENTICATION

5. Set up a legacy account (add the account of someone you trust who will always help you retrieve your account)

6. Don't log into your social media accounts using public devices or even a friend's device.

7. If you must use a friend's device or a public device, always use the incognito tab on browsers and ensure you close the tab before leaving.

8. When you click on links and it prompts you to put in your Facebook password or requires access to your Facebook account, close it immediately! Altogether, click only on links you trust.

9. When you receive any call requesting for any code sent to you, never respond to them. You are free to shout "thief!" into their ears and hang up the call.

10. Don't procrastinate... Review and update your details now!

HOW TO RETRIEVE A HACKED FACEBOOK ACCOUNT
1. You may need to visit facebook(dot)com/hacked and follow the prompts

2. If your phone numbers and emails have been changed by the hacker, you'll need to go back to the last message that was sent to your email by Facebook concerning a login. Click on the link that says "click here if it wasn't you". If you no longer have access to that email, that may mean losing your account forever if you also don't have a legacy account.

. Mine was hack by those fools,I show them that am real street. Mail Facebook team,they may help you but it hard a bit unless you know jack. You can Google (how to recover my Facebook account) . You unknowingly click a link here or other site. Back up your Facebook using two ways.

If there's an email address on the account before it was hacked, you're lucky you can retrieve it back.

Just check your mail, for a mail from Facebook open the mail and start undoing everything from there.

Your account is gone forever. Just forget it and move on. Facebook is very easy to hack and extremely difficult to retrieve your account back. Next time learn to secure your accounts

Make sure you are visiting the link with the same device(s) you have been using to access facebook.

This will help them to confirm that you are actually the rightful owner of the hacked account.

You will be asked to upload scanned copies of your Government issued ID card like Drivers Licence, Permanent Voters Card, etc.

Facebook will review your request and act accordingly.

According to them, it normally takes 1-3 days for them to give you a response.

NO way to retrieve it.thats how my 10yrs old facebook account was hacked and taken over by the hacker.while i was locked out and could not gain access into my account to block it or change password.when i try to change password.the password change code would be sent to the hackers phone number instead of mine.i cry to facebook tire and they could not do nothing instead they told me that the account looks okay.i finally gave up when i went online and thousands of similar cases like mine that facebook could not do nothing to remedy.i therefore concluded that facebook is a RUBBISH.
