But with other 20 round rocket pods , yes

Maybe it's pic was not clicked by photographer and pilot is referring to that.

- 16x Mokopa ATMs
- 4x mistral air to air missiles
- 38 or 76.....70mm (guided or unguided) rockets

Protected against 12.7mm api rounds

Also has the highest hover ceiling of any AH in the world(by nearly 2km shocked

) , second highest service ceiling of any AH in the world(behind India HAL LCH) and second highest climb rate of any AH(behind the mi28).

For those of us who really know, Super Tucanoes would be the breakthrough capability in internal security.
Also it will be a cheap workhorse ISR/precision strike platform in one package.

The JF 17 is for regional power projection BUT it will fly too high, too fast and too blind to be useful against Boko Haram or bandits

The $40 mil price tag everybody likes quoting is not the actual price but rather the entire R& D cost..... And since only 12 were built the cost per unit is very bloated.

Secondly how is it sanction vulnerable?

Nigeria's air force procurement makes sense. When we consider the funds available and what has been purchased, it shows air force planners understand what they are doing. Training and Offensive capabilities have been good.

The Super Tucano is the best low intensity warfare aircraft available in the market. The weapons package coming along with it is also great. The ISR capabilities of the aircraft also makes it stand out.

12 MI-35M helicopters is also good.

The A109K purchase also makes sense.

The MI-17, I was hoping we would get a minimum of 6 units. 2 units won't go any where.

On the JF-17, if we look at how the world is going, it is a late purchase, very late intact.

I will say that we take the 3 units and hold on, while we wait for the block 3 to come on stream.

We need an aircraft that can pose a threat to the Rafale fighter jet. Only the JF-17 block 3 is good enough to do that.
