Looking at Kano city makes me wonder what happened to all the the oil wealth of the South South. Asaba, Warri and others should be far more developed and beautiful. I'm supposed to mind my business though.  3 Likes |

Sammy07:I'm not holding a breaf for any southern governor, but you need to know that Kano has a whopping 44 LGAs -- all receiving federal allocations while (as you rightly said) Bayelsa has just 8. Imagine the level of development and poverty alleviation if all the SS states have 44 LGAs each, having direct Fed allocations. What these northern states don't get in derivation, they get in multiples through the imbalanced LGA system and rigged population estimates formula. So relax and stop supporting this weak argument which the north always use. Nigeria was created to develop the north since 1914. That is why they will never allow it to be administered through merit and equality. 1 Like |
