The Ohanaeze Ndigbo , Imo State chapter yesterday aligned itself with the supreme court judgment that validated the election of Governor Hope Uzodinma , as it declared its full support to the governor. Addressing newsmen yesterday, the State chairman of the apex social cultural organisation, Ezechi Chukwu explained that the body had withdrawn its support from Ihedioha because the supreme court which it said is regarded as the “hope of the common man has declared Uzodinma winner of the election” According to the chairman, “you may recall that Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha was declared winner of the March 2019 gubernatorial election in Imo. Imo State Ohanaeze Ndigbo supported him because it was an election which was validated by both INEC and the judiciary. “As their constitutional right however, Senator Hope Uzodinma and many other contenders in that election who felt shortchanged in the process went to court to seek for redress . Be that as it may , the apex court of the land on January 14 after a detailed scrutiny of the pronouncement of the lower court declared Uzodinma as the authentic winner”. Also, the Igbo group has cautioned against any form of protest by anybody or group . “We equally encourage you to make constructive criticism of his government when need be because it is an essential ingredient of democracy.” Chukwu added that “from the other way round , we equally condemn in strong terms any form of unconventional protestation which is premised on aggression, violence or extra judicial metrics and mechanism.” He said Ohanaeze Ndigbo Imo state will not remain passive in the face of such aberration by any group of people . “I implore all of us to take the path of rule of law at all times since we ought to be law abiding citizens in a democratic society”, Chukwu added. https://www.sunnewsonline.com/imo-ohanaeze-backs-uzodinma-warns-against-further-protests/

StaffofOrayan:Why start telling the story from the middle. ![]() Did Uwazurike mention yoruba before yorubas started mocking arrested and killed MASSOB and BZM members pre-Kanu? Your Oba threatened Igbos during election, if they didn't vote APC and Buhari, pre-kanu. Should we convienently forget that too like the average zoogerians with collective amnesia? ![]() |

This same one? https://dailypost.ng › 2018/02/04 Igbo is most foolish tribe in the world – Uwazuruike - Daily Post Nigeria 04 Feb 2018 · Speaking with Punch, Uwazurike recalled how Igbo was pushed aside after forming the former ruling I don't remember anybody mocking him, infact he understood igbos were being used. StaffofOrayan:we are not talking about Uwazurike's interview when he struggled to maintain relevance after being bribed to deviate from his primary cause. I am not a neonate here, dig back to NL threads of 2010, 2011, 2012 and see yorubas mocking MASSOB members and BZM after they were killed at Amansea by SARS, arrested in Enugu, imprisoned in Owerri. There are many pre-Kanu Biafran threads, dig up and read them and stop being consciously diversionary as your people are known for. ![]() |

cosef:They’re quite a good number of our elite that have been infected by the ‘Nigerian factor’....greedy, rapacious, lacking in good moral conduct and conscience, and willing to throw their people under the bus at the drop of a hat, just to ingratiate themselves with their Fulani masters! When traditional Igbo haters are cheering on a thug imposed on a south-east State as governor, then just know there’s more to all this than meets the eye! |

cosef:What's up with the name-calling? You need to grow and stop all these senseless insults. Nigeria is a country guided by a Constitution, and the judiciary interpretes that law. In any sane clime, every arm of the government stick to the ruling of the court, including the executive. If the executive doesn't obey court verdicts, it is a problem for everyone. Ohaneze has made it abundantly clear that it will stick with the rule of law. It's not like they have a choice though. So, why would anyone have a problem with that? While many people believe that the Supreme Court ruling was unjust and unfair, they don't have a choice but accept it in good faith. If you should have a problem with anyone, it should be with the system that hasn't allowed the judiciary to be truly independent or the justices who allowed themselves to be compromised. Ohaneze is not and shouldn't be your problem, please. |
