Better be managing it since you don't have any alternative, maybe after some months you can ask for an increase. Also, you need to give them all your best before asking for the increase, maybe they reduced the man's salary that was why he resigned. Be contented with what you have sha Life can be funny sometimes.

were you given the chance to negotiate your salary? if yes then its your fault the pay is low. but if no then just take the job and pray the company makes increment.

dear 87k seems to be a big money too why not work for that first. if you happened to have not seen that document were you not satisfied and happy with the pay? dont lose the job because of greediness it might be a test if you dont know. please dont fall victim. no jobs outside so hold the one you've gotten tight by God grace i believe it can be increase as time goes by.thank you

if you have more experience than he does, you wouldn't take over a job he resigned from, your bargaining power shows the level of your exposure and experience, it also shows you have not earn what you are earning or about to earn in your present employment. better take the offer and do your job judiciosly they might consider you for pay rise

Try to be your best at the job while trying to seek another. After three months, ask for a renegotiation and this time, ask for that which you want.

Why will a masters degree holder settle for less than 150k(this is supposed to be start up for BSc holder with certifications but it's a start) even in Naija. OP you were desperate and that was how you lost value.

It's best you reapply elsewhere, while managing what you accepted. Also try to contact the previous guy and find out more truths ooooo. He may be earning so much based on CONEXION.... I hope you understand now.

The problem is that you don't even have time to go and apply for another work or attend interview. You have to work from Monday to Saturday from 7:30 - 5:00pm.
I even tried and asked about the salary payment here but I got low response them

Ok sir, be patient. Have you contacted the former worker.... To know how he did his own? Because the Happy Interviewer may be collecting 150k on your behalf and paying you less o. He may have used your ignorance to increase his own pay.

op I understand how you feel but it has happened, you need to develop a good salary negotiation tactics next time, that's the reason it's important before you go for an interview, you google up about the industry, the company, the company competitors and what the position you're being interviewed for earns in that industry I advise you continue and perform your duties in the best way you can and after 2 to 3 months you request for a salary raise.

Don't resign oh!! e had to get job except if you believe your skills are well sought after and you can cope for at least 3 months without that salary you earn from your present job.

An ungrateful heart is always a covetous heart. I think you should resign - you will never give your best. People would see your countenance everyday and know something is off. Your heart is not right. You do not only accuse your employer of deceit but you accuse God of being unmerciful. If you don’t resign, you will be sacked if your heart remains this way.

Bro, don't follow that advice.. Your problem is just imaginary! As much as unhappy you could be...
Don't ask for a raise...if it is contract based that the contract expires after a specified time and its renewable.. Wait til expiration of contract and determine to quit or you get the necessary raise and your terms of service agreed to, this is only possible after an impressive stay and expiration of contract and you must actually be ready to quit no be sere sere o.
If you ask for a raise too soon.. That will be giving you a bad image and might get you sacked when not ready and make your life more miserable... Best advice keep searching for another job for real.. If you get a better one.. Move!

I am in a very similar shoes like you... The first person for the job requested for 200 naira, another requested for 85 naira and he was accepted and signed to commence. I surfaced.. I actually requested for 40 naira they called to say they can only pay 20 naira because I was being paid 10 naira were I was coming from.. I accepted 20 naira..before I realised.
Now my work load is like second to the oga patapata and yet my pay is not even close to his... All of my subordinates like 5 earn more than me by at least half more...
And yet they say sir to me thinking my pay is bigger some of them that know the secret of my pay (plus their immaturity) are rude (or maybe am thinking so).

It's a complex situation... Am keeping happy with my job tho while I hope for a better one
