You just gave voice to my thoughts.
In well developed countries, no institution wants to be called out like this especially from a grieving student. They will be quick to make necessary adjustments and even compensate the student(s) in question. They are very wary of bad reviews from clients.

The majority of comments here just show that alot of Nigerians have accepted oppression as a norm and will allow leaders/those elected to serve them get away with every misbehaviour. Nobody wants to hold leaders accountable just to save their heads.

This is sad... really sad!
If he present evidence people Wil support him..... The building they are renovating that he post is nt been used... Someone said that
And u can see fine hostel behind na

Or if someone wakes up one day put out ur name n pic and claim u r a fraud or rapist... We shld mob u or castrate u without evidence?

ExActly, we’ve been accustomed to being Oppressed and wosrt of it all is that oppressors are our parents and brothers and family. I’ve always said, better for the whites to come back, I for 1 wouldn’t mind working as a slave again, For we alone Can’t purge ourselves from this plague, Only the white man can do that. We are not set for Independence yet, not set for sovereignty. God knows I can’t beget a child into this Martydom when i myself is already depressed

Good morning, all. Thank you for lending your voices to this discussion. While it is a fact that that we live in a free society where you have the right to your opinion, it should be noted as well that there is right to fair hearing.

I happen to be in a position to be able to check through the University Database and I can confirm that the person who came up with this write-up is not a student of the university. The name Tolu Ayomide does not come up in any of the queries I attempted.

That said, I wouldn't expect that the writer would put his real name on that write up, either the person is still a student as the person claims or has been expelled.

Be that as it may, Crawford University is a faith-based institution and as common to mist of such institutions, discipline is usually taken with higher form of seriousness rather than the cases in the secular institutions.

It is quite sad that students (and even staff memebers) who complain about the level of strictness of the school on certain matters actually signed to abide by those rules while coming in fresh. My point is that we all knew what we were coming in for. (I have witnessed a case where an aspiring student said she could not accept the admission because the laws were not much for her.)

The writer talked about the VC. Well, I do not think that majority of the members of the Crawford community would discribe the VC as greedy and wicked. Rather most of the students would honestly say that he is passionate about the well-being of the students, something that most of them would not say of some other people in the school. The fact that he drives a used 2008 GL430 doesn't describe the VC as wicked or greedy, considering that I may not be aware of any VC in the country whose status car is used vehicle.

It is one thing not to be happy with the school, it is however, IMO, unfair to vent your anger through a form of blackmail. If you would post the picture of a building under construction and call it your hostel, and not bother to show the picture of brand new hostels as well, I will sadly discribe your intentions as flawed.

My finally submission here is that the writer is most likely one of the former students who, due to certa hiin offences such as narcotics, theft, sneaking of the school grounds, and the like, was expelled from the school. And this appears like the best way to get back at the school that dare say, "Sorry, we can not deal with you anymore," after a well structured investigation and trial.

Thank you all for hearing my opinion on this matter.

It's a lie, this is someone trying to impersonate and besmirch another's image. What could the 300l guy do to you to warrant such wickedness?

Except it's a bogus name.

No undergraduate in his right senses would critique his university like that. Trust me

toluayomide:
I am Tolu Ayomide, a 300 level student of mass communication in Crawford university Igbesa and I want to strongly advice anyone considering coming to Crawford university in igbesa to stop!! Don’t even think of applying not to talk of coming to Crawford university. The facilities are the school are completely ancient and rusty, In the real sense of it the school can be described as a total village, the staff are totally incompetent and our vice chancellor Prof. Isaac Rotimi is very wicked and greedy, he takes the view of the student with total levity, don’t even talk about student union in this school because they are puppets in the hands of the vice chancellor who rules the school like a dictator. If you desire to acquire a university degree in a convenient environment free from clamp down on human rights, don’t dare come to Crawford university.
I am a 300L student and I can tell you from experience that we are occasionally mandated to kneel down and harassed by students on a daily basis, the school is not honest in their dealings with students, they usually seek every available opportunity to extort students of money that has been hard earned by our parents. The cafeteria staff are nothing to write home about, they are constantly rude to students despite the fact that we are paying for their service. Most of the money the school earns is directed towards providing maximum comfort to the school’s management who would stop at nothing to live in luxury, a testament to this is the multimillion naira Mercedes Benz suv that is owned by our vice chancellor, this is despite the fact that many of our laboratories lack adequate equipment’s.
Our hostels are a mess, I can’t take pictures and post here because of how graphic they are but believe me when I tell you that you don’t want to come to this school. IF YOU LOVE YOURSELF, DON’T, I REPEAT DON’T COME TO CRAWFORD UNIVERSITY IN IGEBSA. I believe actions speaks louder than words so here are a few pictures of the mess called Crawford university below.
You certainly have an ulterior motive in discouraging applicants when indeed we have different opinions from other students. even your pictorial evidence are indictments against you. I am aware you have different platform to express dissatisfaction with with quality of facilities and services in your school. If you think the best way to improve the quality of infrastructure in your school is to destroy her image, that is wrong thing to do.

I totally disagree with this OP. I know this University well and in fact, I'm well conversant and absorbed with the University. When you are trying to describe a person or a place to be fair and frank, you can't just be talking of the negative side without touching the positive side.
1. This pix cannot be a current picture of any building in that school because, currently there is no place like that.
2. When you are talking of the VC's car, what do you expect? Do you want the VC to be using a Volks wagen or a jalopy vehicle in this 21st century! If you are just coming to the school for the first time and s/one pointed a jalopy car or a 'Bintu car' for you as the University's VC'S Car what would have been your reaction or thoughts about the sch? If I were the one, I will just quickly conclude that the sch. is definitely and old school or olden days school. There's an adage in Yoruba land that says 'charity begins at home'
3. That the VC is greedy and wicked, how? That's a big lie from the highest order. As far as I know, this current VC is magnanimous, kind, humane, pleasant, decent, and nicest person to both students and their staff. This can be confirmed in the community, by the students and staff. He is the most liked VC in the history of the University.

Mind you, I understand the OP's plight, it depends on the situation that prompted your anger. It's either you are offended in one way or the other; as a student/staff, maybe you violated any of the sch rules and you are suspended or expelled depending on your offence which might not go down well with you. Even at that, there are still other ways to go about it rather than denting the image of your University. There is no organisation without dos and don'ts. It might still backfire on you at the long run, so next time, pause and think well before posting. smiley

While the veracity of the claim made by the OP is still been questioned, I however deplored the culture of cowardice permeating our consciousness as can be seen in some comments here. I applaud the guys who stood up for boldness. It is true that wisdom is essential in all things, that should not then mean we should cower ourselves into the hiding. If i am sure of the claims i make against a public institution or someone, I can post my fully details and expect anything that comes thereafter. If you want to live, you must be willing to loose your life. If he looses his studentship because of the truth he is a hero.

It’s so sad that we’ve overtime perfected the act of cowardice, Just imagine what the majority of the comments above me is about, Shifting away from the main reason OP who happens to be a victim of such Educational flaw, made this post. And to think that we all are young and aspiring elders of tomorrow, We are doomed, we are finished. To Hell with this Country! Op you did well, You paid school fees and have the right to express your dissatisfaction about anything in that school. Thank you for creating such awareness, you are indeed a hero of our time, the people who have perished for good course in Nigeria and the generation that will come after you are proud of you. Please remain anonymous while you Inform the ignorant part of us. Thanks again, you have my utmost respect
This is not about being a coward, it's about debunking something that's not true. I'm a student of the school as well. So he should stop saying trash

This write-up is completely false. This must be one of the students recently rusticated as a result of drugs consumption. The University, being a faith-based institution, has zero tolerance for drugs.
The school has beautiful edifices within the campus.
Our students have made positive impacts in and outside Nigeria, both in the academic and industrial circles. A visit to the campus will convince you.
