The Sokoto State Zonal Head of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Abdullahi Lawal, has said that a petition over non-payment of N3,000 logistic allowance by a corp member led to a recovery of N320 million.

Lawal disclosed this on Friday at the ‘Nigerian Youth Walk against Corruption’ rally organized by the EFCC in collaboration with the National Youth Service Corps, among other partners.

He said that the petition was received after the 2019 election in Zamfara, adding that N65 million cash was recovered during an investigation at the Independent National Electoral Commission in Zamfara State.

According to him, the cash was deposited at the Central Bank of Nigeria while corp members who participated in the electoral duty were paid their allowances of about N300 million.

The EFCC zonal boss described youths as a vital army in the fight against all forms of corruption.

On his part, the NYSC Coordinator in Sokoto State, Philip Enaberue, said that the rally was aimed at facilitating more public awareness and involvement in the fight against corruption, especially among youths who are future leaders.

peace

Do U feel U have been kept on hold or seems your life is going round a circle?

Is the devil tormenting, oppressing, depressing, afflicting, suppressing, or manipulating you with any form of discomfort in life?

Are U feeling rejected, dejected and abandoned in life?

You are not alone on this journey. Keep praying you will overcome them, Jesus can help U out only if U believe.

Accept Jesus Christ, surrender to him, rededicate yourself to Him and make Him your personal Lord and Saviour. Accept Him now, for next minute may be too late..

This is the time to rededicate your life to Christ.

Make this confession loudly. Father! Forgive me, I'm sorry, please help me, I love U, I need U, hold me Jesus!!!, my heart, my soul please take control of it right now. Lead me in your ways and teach me your path so I can forever abide in your words. Save me Lord, have mercy on me and forgive my sins in Jesus name. Amen

Thank U for saving me and thank U because U have deliver me from the bondage of sins, I know my sins has been forgiving, I give U all the praise in Jesus name.

During my service days in 2015 in Edo state, some of my colleagues were not paid after participating in the 2015 elections. So its not a new thing.

..see what someone, or a few people's greed has led to.
I guess there could have been enough to go round all those who worked from top to bottom but the instinctive and animalistic greed of a few has resulted in the expose!
