Dear Baba Lifeless,

You left 1500 Lagos-bound passengers stranded just because you want to look for trouble at the burial ceremony of Nnamdi Kanu's parents?

When will you change? Ehn! When? Is it until the rotten vulture meat barbecue business man call you a moronic drunkard before you'll come to your senses?

Shame!

This regime is utterly shameful, clueless and incompetent.
It is more frightening that, unless God intervenes, Nigeria and Nigerians have 3 more years (and even more) to pay for their sin of hate and tribalism.

shocked

Why is anything that has to do with buhari bad news?

Why is everything that comes in contact with buhari lifeless?

Why is it that anything buhari touches turns to shreds?

Why is the name buhari synonymous to blood shed, hopelessness, darkness, agony etc..

Lastly, why is it that everything does is associated with death?

If he is not selling, roasting or grilling dead meat, he is supporting and laying down his life for a dead darling daddy?

Why...why...why?

Spits

If you want to unravel why Nigeria is in such a terrible state, a visit to Nairaland is all you need to see reasons. Just imagine some dolts already abusing Buhari when it was clearly stated that bad weather is the reason.
I think most of these Nairaland anti-Buharists have a common sickness, it is called post-election trauma grin
Truly, many are mad, but few are roaming grin

You might be part of the dolts you are cursing.

Bad weather in itself is not a deal breaker in take off and landing.

Airports are equipped with instrument land systems, the better your equipment then you can overcome most weather conditions and still land.

NMIA have a very old system plus it malfunctioned hence the pilots could not land. Had the ILS system at the airport were cat3, despite the poor weather the plans would have been able to land.

Only for those people have CONNECTING FLIGHTS e.g. If you are going to Lagos through Accra from Freetown(Freetown-Accra-Lagos).
But my own tickets was a separate booking, Lagos- Accra and Accra to Kumasi(To and Fro)
Hmmmmm, come and see oyinbo(English) today! Come and see how people dey para! They said am on my own oooo! Not until I called our organiser, she came, thwy dragged it,shout, shout and shout, the airline said No! That even the connecting flight passengers at hotel since Monday is more than 500(only African Worldwide Airline) alone! The coordinator took us to one fine hotel till tomorrow, though they have rescheduled my flight but I wasnt guarantee unless the hazy and dusty cleared!
The worst part of it is that the coordinator said,if anything happens to tomorrow, AM ON MY OWN!

Nigeria my country!

Next thing, you will hear the president setting up a committee to look into this. Nothing gets done until it affects the rich and the poor. If it’s affecting only the poor then it’s non existence.

Another guess, what if the ILS was suppose to be upgraded to CAT lll “on paper”? And some people already shared the money allocated for it simply because the obsolete one is still working so nobody would know anything.

Me I just tire!

Unfavorable weather conditions is not something you play with. If the pilot says it's a no go area, you listen to him because he's been trained to know better than you. All these hullabaloo, trying to use "connections" to go against the assessment of trained aviation officials is the reason Kobe Bryant and so many others are now 6feet under today.

No matter the weather conditions.
Do you know about instrument landing system (ILS)?
Is a system that works by sending radio waves downrange from the runway end, with aircraft that intercept it using the radio waves to guide pilot onto the runway.

Nigeria don't have it..

This is an act of incompetence from the BA
They should be sued for this
Since the visibility of Lagos is not encouraging, what happened to Abuja airport, what happened to calabar, what happened to portharcourt, what happened to bayelsa?
If this is in their country they would have fined Nigeria 20billion just as they did with P&ID
British is the Origin of scam
mumu what do u know about aviation Just scroll a little bit up and read reasons why they opt for kotoko airport... Abeg go and upgrade ur airport to fit in with international standard

Haha! It is funny how you think having a huge population is enough to build more airports. No, it's not and MMIA is not fully utilized in its current state, capacity wise.
privatization, yes but not building newer ones for now because we are still very poor and people build more airports not just because of the citizens but for purpose of tourism and business travelers and we need to own at least 3 standard carriers with hubs in different parts of the country or it's just another waste.

This is why Qatar with less than 300k citizens have an airport that is busier than all international airports in Nigeria, it's not the citizens that make use of them!

Airports are used and busier because they are hubs.

Do we we have to wait for the large volume of traffic before we start constructing new airports. A smart country will plans for the future, build the new airports, privatised them (PPP) and generate the business activities that will increase air traffic volumes. I understand that there is a plan to build an international airport in Lekki, brilliant idea as it will serve the financial hub in Lekki and it's immediate surrounding in Epe and Ogun state. International Airports are transformation infrastructure impact the development of a country.

Nigeria is poor because Nigerian cultural and social elites are prepared to tolerate poor leadership, imagine Lagosian protesting to retain Okada and Keke Nepad when they should have been on the street protesting against the deplorable state of the roads, lack of drainage and metro railway in the state.

Just like you said brother
I still doubt the authenticity of the report
Doubt what authenticity My brother who was returning from US was affected, he's been at Accra since Monday, not until I personally booked another flight for him from Accra to Abuja via Africa World Airlines, and then from Abuja to our home state via Air Peace after BA canceled their flight in Accra promising to reimburse them whatever they spent after lodging them at Accra from Monday - Friday morning.

The problem is from Nigerian Aviation Authority that is unable to fix modern ILS (Instrument Landing System) at our airports to serve in situations like this, despite huge budget given to that air head called Rotweiler Amiechiii grin. If there is war, planes take off and land even at extreme weather conditions because that is when your enemy would attack most, so you cannot as a nation fold your arms while your nation burns.

Nigerian leaders are incompetent, and Buhari supersedes them all in absolute incompetence with his appointment of people based on their tribe and religion, neglecting competence and federal character act.

So everything still goes back to failed leadership of the Nigerian nation angry angry

Nigerians have been subdued by the political class....they no longer reason properly, to an average Nigerian, suffering is sweeter than comfort grin grin

They prefer their keke and okada no matter the harm to modern metro railway and good roads.....keke and okada is cheaper for them, so don't go there before they start protesting for you to be deported shocked cheesy cheesy cheesy
