That’s how you know whether there’s freedom of speech in your country

The problem with Nigeria today is not freedom of speech but freedom after speech.

You consider this hate speech or someone's personal opinion?

Please stop comparing Nigeria with working countries.
Nigeria is not working at all, only the enemies of progress will say otherwise.

I support this.
I think PMB is a good leader, I really liked how he started, "zero sympathy for looters" but Nigerians were quick to insult him and he became dull and sympathetic.
He even said democracy is dulling him.
we are quick to defend looters though

how will Nigeria work when politicians think politics is a poverty alleviation scheme and when a man decided to punish those corrupt politicians, we are quick to insult him.

Read the koran and hadiths and you'll realise that abnormal thinking is as natural for muslims as filth is natural to a pig.

is that statement by bbc , aljazeera, cnn, NY TIMES, THE washington post, reuter, etc? There's something called ethics, it won't allow any responsible news organisation to be that careless.

For real? You haven't seen CNN news anchors say things like this? Have you watched Don Lemon? You haven't seen people on public TV calling the president "derogatory" names?

You will have a change of mind when you observe the "working countries" at a much closer distance.
My point is politicians are the same around the globe...Nigeria is just a worse version...

That’s not the point. Topic is, can a Nigerian news media be able to say that about Buhari without DSS arresting them for hate speech?

That’s not the point. Check the topic again. It’s about Nigeria. Can a Nigerian news media say that about Buhari without getting arrested by DSS?

And Trump has replied them even using far more derogatory words. To me that is the equivalent of an African dictator using the security agencies to go after enemies.

I keep saying it, were Trump an African leader with unfettered powers, we would have in our hands the worst dictator ever.

It's the strong institutions in the US that has managed to keep him in check

And even at that he still manages to make a mockery of supposedly the best democracy on Earth.

Can we focus on the topic? Question is, can people be free enough to say things like this about Buhari? Do we have freedom of speech in Nigeria?

Yeah, like a House leader tearing up official copies of the State of The Union's address and is about to go to jail for it?

Trump is the best thing that happened to America economically and militarily in a very long while!

To you now, bubu came with intent to fight corruption but the "defence" of looters by nigerians doused his fiery intent to fight corruption?
Bro, think again, bubu is no longer in charge the cabals are!
bubu has failed us, he has disappointed us and age is no longer on his side as we all know he's using football age
the cabals are having filled day smiling to banks while hiding behind the clueless bubu's toothless corruption campaign.
It's so sad what bubu has turned to within 5 years
