the presiding judge was not tanko, it was kekere ekun.
try and be educated first before coming to social media
Please..try to apologise to princeade86.....because he is correct and you are wrong.

Have you ever seen a judge presiding with his/her senior as a panel member? no
Tanko Muhammad was presiding on the Imo judgement.
Kekere-Ekun only read the lead judgement.
They are two different things.

It's hierarchy,most senior always presides.

In this case, Odili was presiding but Ejembi Eko read the lead judgement. (would you say Eko was presiding) NO?

That's what he meant...and it's wrong.

I know he insulted you, but don't take it back on him.

There is no peace in the land when grave injustice is committed, and the orchestrator shall get no respect nor peace too. If you look at the two election ruling of both imo and Bayelsa it's quite different, I will start with bayelsa first

In the ruling of Bayelsa, the supreme court affirmed that David Lyon running mate forged his credentials and true to their words it was established the man had different names in all his certificates and I know that party officials should have verified the candidates certificates before presenting them to Inec as their flag bearer. The supreme on the basis of discrepancies in all the certificate submitted void and anull the election of APC in Bayelsa election.

Now, in the case of Imo state, APC went to court that some of its votes were not included in the Imo election result and the votes were submitted not by Inec but by APC which was gotten from an assistant commissioner of police. Now the real problem that arose was when the votes were added to the whole result, the total number of votes exceeded the total number of accredited voters thus putting a question of credibility on the supreme court judgement in IMO. Thus the supreme court have s moral obligation to explain to Nigerians especially Imo indigenes how the discrepancies came to being.
You made a point here no doubt my friend .

Replacement of candidates is time bound and the time has elapsed.
so, why was the case not declared statue barred or disposed of before election being a pre-election matter? justice odili simply did her party's bidding! APC's greatest undoing though is the party's failure to challenge the constitution of the panel knowing full well justice odili's affinity to PDP

Pls lawyers in the house, was justice mary odili right in her judgment in declaring senator Douye Dirk as the candidate with the next highest number of votes, looking at section 140, subsection 2 of the electoral act?
Yes she was right.
Now please calm down and obey the supreme court ruling.

Odili only presided on a panel....

Was the panel right go give the judgement?
Yes.

I wouldn't blame those who are attacking Odili of making the decision. They are 100% APC members.

Uwani Ab'aji read the SC lead judgement that gave buhari victory over Atiku. Kekere-Ekun read for the loss of Ihedioha in Imo State.
(CJN Tanko presided over both panels, and the PDP members attacked him)

So, for partisan individuals....that's fine!

read the provision of the constitution there and see what I want you to see. The judgement was right, but was the consequential order right?

A court of competent jurisdiction has vacated those sections of the Electoral Act.

Unfortunately, one of those attacking Odili posted it on Nairaland.

Read this:
http://www.vanguardngr.com/2011/07/court-rejects-sections-of-2010-electoral-act/

A Federal High Court in Abuja, yesterday, ordered election petition tribunals sitting across the federation to ignore provisions of section 140(2) and 141 of Electoral Act 2010, saying it was vague, unconstitutional and a deliberate attempt by the legislative arm of government to usurp powers of the judiciary.

Nullifying the two sections, the high court equally gave election tribunals nod to declare a candidate winner of any disputed election process brought before it, stressing that provisions of the aforementioned sections were inconsistent with both section 239 and 285 of the 1999 Constitution as amended.

The judgement was delivered by Justice G O K Oyewole.

....and read through Sections 31 Sir......
