The lawmaker said, “It is Toyota Camry 2020. Manga will supply 300 of the vehicles. The person who supplied the Senate will supply the remaining 100. Someone suggested Innoson. I feel he was being sarcastic. He is from Anambra.”The emboldened is hilarious and reveals the hypocrisy of Nigerian politicians. They can sit in their Chambers all day and debate on how to grow the Naira and encourage Nigerian manufacturers whereas they consider the suggestion of Innoson vehicles as sarcastic and unserious. In the end, Nigerians will rant and go back to whatever it was they were doing and forget this ever came up. We have a major problem on our hands. 1 Like |

I believed these people have cars before, these people are the richest and wealthy class in Nigeria, nowcbuying 400 exotic cars with public fund is inconsiderate, this is pure selfishness and an attempt to milk the already suffering people to death because this same scenario is still playing out in every state of the federation , commissioners exotic cars in each of the 36 states, states rep members in each of the 36 states, governors convoy in each of the 36 states, All LGA chairmen in each of the 36 states, I wonder what is now left for the masses. 5 Likes |

This is one of the reason politicians will kill anybody that stands i n their way to becoming a senator, HOR member etc. Why can't an ordinary civil servant also have this privilege of owing a car like this? Why won't the Lecturers always embark on strike when they know what these politicians are always benefitting. Truth is, Nigerians are just too dense, ready to absorb whatever insult, disrespect thrown at them. Yet we debate about N30,000 minimum wage. 6 Likes |

hisgrace090: Yes sir... If it helps reduce cost of governance. Under normal circumstances, the following should be in place: 1. Lower cost of transportation for all public office holders, starting from the President. 2. Lower or reduced Medical costs for all public office holders starting from the President. 3. Lower or reduced Feeding costs 4. Lower or scrapped clothing costs 5. Lower or reduced accommodation costs. Etc...etc.... Anyone who feels hard done by the above, can feel free to augment or upgrade at his own personal cost!!! 1 Like |

Meti99: We failed ourselves by being too sheepish, gullible and too scared to die, continuing this trend we will also fail our future generations. Truth is, Nobody gets out of here alive but we nigerians still won't come out united in one voice to stand against impunity and all these people who are in positions because we're scared of death or being brutalized but want things to change while you sit in your individual room. NO! It doesn't work like . IF YOU WANT THE CHANGE YOU DESERVE , YOUR UNBORN GENERATIONS DESERVE , YOU WORK FOR IT. THINGS DON'T JUST HAPPEN ,YOU MAKE IT HAPPEN. YOU THINK IF THE WHOLE NIGERIAN POPULACE STAND AGAINST BUYING THOSE VEHICLES, YOU THINK THEY WOULD? BUT THEY KNOW WE'RE ALL FOOLISH, SHEEPISH, EXPECTING YOUR OPPRRESSORS TO HAVE MERCY!! YOU'LL ALL COMPLAIN, SLAVE AND DIE, THEY DON'T CARE WHILE YOUR CHILDREN AND UNBORN GENERATIONS CONTINUE THE CIRCLE. NIGERIANS OPEN YOUR HEADS AND BREAK OUT NOW, FIGHT FOR YOUR RIGHT, NOT ONLINE, COME OUT AND PROTEST, STAND FOR WHAT IS RIGHT!!! PROTEST , SHAKE THE WHOLE NIGERIA, THEY WILL FEAR YOUR, YES PEOPLE MIGHT GET HURT OR DIE BUT ST LEAST WE DIE FOR SOMETHING, FOR GREATNESS, AS A HERO , STAND FOR SOMETHING. THE RIGHT THING. I REPEAT : THE GOVERNMENT SHOULD FEAR THE PEOPLE NOT THE OTHER WAY ROUND. 4 Likes 1 Share |

Openbusiness: You could if you speak in unison. You don't even need the whole country to speak up. All you need is for your district to insist that your representative would not be found using foreign made cars and see how he rejects it in the House. |
