If you look above, you'd see I've made some few details and corrections. Average or Nominal power is the continious or long term power that the TV consume, while Maximum power is very short term spikes in power that the TV may have to consume, and no TV runs full blast on it's Maximum or Peak power.
So, the Average, Norminal, or Standard Power (90 W) is what the TV consume continuously, and not the short term spikes in power (120 W).

Thank you. But you've not really answered the question.

You know that LG, Samsung, Hisense and I think Sony TVs have this power saving mode which significantly lowers the continuous power consumption at the expense of backlighting. Backlight can be reduced to reduce the total power consumption of the TVs.

This is a desirable feature for those that don't have the luxury of grid power supply bit have to rely on solar energy or storage batteries.

Usually when I make purchases, I routinely go with a wattmeter handy to get all these parameters and ensure that I know what I'm getting into as regards consumption. But my location is far from Otta so I can't do that routine check. I think it will be good if you have a wattmeter so that you can further add the real life consumptions of these TVs as part of their specs.

So does this TCL have that option?
