In front of a bank??
Chaii, truly u no well
grin
lol I always laugh when I remember that incident. His big ass toilet at Awolowo Road, right in front of a bank. When Christmas surge was everywhere, you want me to be waiting for you.

I didn't even mention how another dude took me to the river yesterday, close to Artican Beach. It was a congregation of white garment people. Lol. Dude said he want to pray that I should wait. I told him five minutes, he agreed. Five minutes passed, no sign of him. He hasn't even started his prayers. I marched to the riverside where he was standing and asked him to pay that I'm leaving. Fare was just N900 and dude was screaming how exorbitant it was. How can a dude like that compensate you for time wasting? I left him at the River and drove away. My next trip that yesterday was the mad woman that wanted to stand in an ATM cue.

PROPOSED CHANGES TO DRIVER REQUIREMENTS

Thank you for choosing to drive and earn with Bolt!

The Ministry of Transport is in the process of reviewing the documents needed by drivers who wish to drive with ride-hailing platforms in Lagos. These new requirements are to be a part of new incoming ride-hailing regulations for the entire industry and may require the driver-partners to obtain these additional documents:

Driver Documents;

Lagos State Drivers' Institute Driver's Recertification Card (LASDRI Card)
A Driver Badge issued by Lagos State Ministry of Transport's Department of Public Transport and Commuter Services
Vehicle Documents;

A State Hackney Permit issued by the Lagos State Motor Vehicle Administration Agency (MVAA)
Vehicle Body Tag issued by Lagos State Ministry of Transport's Department of Public Transport and Commuter Services
Discussions with the Lagos Ministry of Transport are still ongoing and we would continue to work with relevant stakeholders to build a stronger ride-hailing industry with your welfare at its heart.

While these new document requirements are not yet in force but are tentatively expected to commence from March 1st 2020, current engagement efforts are focused on ensuring that any new regulations are implemented efficiently.

P.S: An official communication from Lagos State Ministry of Transportation with more details is expected in the coming days.

Regards,

Bolt Lagos

It's simple but takes time.
Copart.com is popular
Iaai.com
Abetter.bid
Just input the specifications you want on the search space and check out multiple cars.
Usually, I pick 3 to 4 options which reasonably will win 1 of it.
I just gave you 3 diff sites
Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by yommie007: 12:09pm On Feb 26, 2020
Iaai.com is simple. But before anything, you must have a budget you want to work around. Its really important. Another hint is, you only consider states close to the ports.... I.e east coast. But new York is an exemption for now. Just download the USA map and get an idea of the states.

UBER is saying Hackney and LASDRI card. Bolt is saying Hackney, LASDRI card, Vehicle Body Tag, Driver's Badge e.t.c. Last last they would turn UBER and BOLT to normal kabu kabu levels... angry angry I don tire for these people matter...

All this requirement will be around 100k plus and you still need to renew it every year. What a country!

I posted earlier the official links. It's 3-15k to get it depending on engine size. An added expense but not the huge number being passed around. Honestly I think that this should actually be protection from touts. And you guys should really try to unionize in case this causes more trouble than help. You can formally write to the local (is it local ) Government if this makes you targets.

As far as the badge, it's used over here to protect passengers. Also helps Ubers identify each other in times of need.

Always do your own research before freaking out!

You guys should also respectfully demand an Uber pick up spot at the airport now they are making you pay. All foreign places have one complete with signs in the airport.

Bro, don't create unnecessary panic. In as much as I marvel @ d taxes of Lagos n d way d ehailing companies HV refused to rock the boat.

Uber n Bolt ( they will only take a cut of wat you eventually make, they don't care.)

From my findings, so far
Lasdri- 2k, hackney - 5k , so how can driver bagde or tag total 100k

Just to generate revenue, nothing more.

So don't create panic as per any 100k.

And it's exactly the same in all countries Uber went to. In Rome (I think it was) taxi drivers even rioted and f'ed up Uber cars! All the countries had to adjust to level the playing field with taxis. This is actually the most pro-uber decision any country has made yet.

The ones here look like this. Most put it on the rear quarter panel glass and they are removable for when you aren't driving
