Please I really don't know anything regarding POS or been an Agent of POS
but that is the job I want to start with tomorrow because a family friend introduced me to one of the POS agent.

Though the salary is not much but can I have another line of business alongside with this POS or does it has side benefit?

Please, assist me.

Its a nice gig if you are the owner...you can also operate your own as well..by registering with cheaper pos platform like opay or kudi which you can use for bank transfers .....

I want to congratulate you for the opportunity to work in a financial system in this case lower pyramid..
Working in this type of business you need to be smart and pay attention to detail more especially record keeping..

One of r risk you're going to face is shortage after reconciliation for the day. Always write down cash at hand and know your opening e wallet balance at the beginning of every day's sales

2. Personal mistake try to avoid it as much as possible as some may be irreversible

3.activity of fraudsters.. Try and be vigilant of the kinds of customer that comes to.. Don't accept phone calls from 3rd party

Above all, the skills you are going to learn doing this business is transferable..
Just do it and take the business as your own the sky is your limit..

Thanks, they said it is 8k monthly, that was why I asked if there could be side benefit from the job. I never dream of doing such job 8k per month, extremely poor.

Do your personal research. Google is your friend here. Browse through their sites and chat them up or send them emails to make enquiries concerning the price of their POS device.

We have different sellers like Itex, Baxi, Opay, Quickteller and many more. Make research on each and see what people are saying about each

good morning.

just seeing your post.

i work with Opay in Benin City and we register propsective agents for free POS machines. Opay will give you a free POS terminal on the payment of a 20k caution fee, but you have to meet the following terms and conditions.

on downloading and registering on the Opay app, you will be upgrade to an Agent level when you provide you BVN, Passport photograph, Utility Bill and a Federal Govt Issued ID card. then you have one month to meet a target of one million bank transfers.

as soon as you meet that, you will be called to come collect your POS machine and in the office, you will be shown how to make the caution fee.

other ways, you can get the POS is doing 200k bank transfers with the app within 5 days in 30 transfers or if you have an existing POS stand before, maybe from Kudi, Firstmonie or other banks, you will be required to bring your statement of account which must not be less than 3million naira (in total - deposits and withdrawals). your POS will be given to you within two weeks.

now here are the charges from Opay:
deposits, Opay will charge you 10 naira.
withdrawals, Opay will charge 0.7% of the amount being withdrawn.

this is irrespective of what you charge your customers.

if you are in Edo state and you need more information on how to get a POS machine for your business, let me know so i can conncet you with one of our marketers.

yea it's poor but for now manage and try to see which other side hustle you can combine so as to be certain that something else would come into your pocket aside the 8k. God bless your hustle.
