While Nigeria government granted amnesty to Boko Haram members and senate proposed a ministry to oversee Boko Haram affairs, Chad government has executed BOKO HARAM members who were found guilty of terrorism act.


According to report, ten members of the Islamist militant group Boko Haram were executed by firing squad in Chad. It comes a day after they were found guilty of terror charges at a trial in the capital N'Djamena.

These were groups of terrorist that the Nigeria government granted amnesty and our treasury looting and intellectually barren legislators proposed to protect, rather thana sentencing to serve jail terms or death.

Sponsoring a bill to create ministry of Boko Haram is the most foolish thing any country can ever think of because this in actual sence, will give birth to another aggressive group which will endangered the life of innocent citizens.

According to report from Chad, ten members of the Islamist militant group Boko Haram have been executed by firing squad in Chad.

It comes a day after they were found guilty of terror charges at a trial in the capital N'Djamena.

Security sources said they were shot at a firing range north of the capital.

All 10 were convicted over their roles in twin attacks on the capital in June, which killed at least 38. A month after the attack, Chad reintroduced the death penalty for acts of terror.

"They were shot this morning at the Massaguet firing range," a source told Reuters news agency, referring to a city about 60km (40 miles) north-east of N'Djamena.

Among those to die was Mahamat Mustapha, aka Bana Fanaye, who had been described as the "mastermind" of June's attacks.

A school and a police building in the capital were targeted by suicide bombers on motorcycles, leaving more than 100 people injured in addition to the dead.

Those attacks were followed by a blast at a market in the capital in July, which killed 15 people.

The attacks were the first by the Nigerian-based group in Chad, which hosts the headquarters of a regional force set up to fight the militants.

The 10 were found guilty of charges including criminal conspiracy, killings, wilful destruction with explosives, fraud, illegal possessions of arms and ammunition, and using psychotropic substances, according to chief prosecutor Bruno Mahouli Louapambe, quoted in AFP news agency.

Chad has been instrumental in helping Nigeria retake most of the areas Boko Haram had seized.

The jihadists, who want to create their own Islamic caliphate in Nigeria, have killed thousands and forced millions to flee their homes in the country's north-east Nigeria since 2009.

The militant group had previously threatened to attack Chad, after it sent troops to help Nigeria recapture territory from them, mostly in Borno state.

Following the bombings, Chad banned people from wearing the full-face veil. Remember, Algeria also banned full face Islamic buqa because it is been used for covering identity of terrorist and bombers. However, Nigeria that is nowhere close to Islam as both Chad and Algeria can never do same to reduce terrorism.

But its attempts to crack down on terrorism have attracted criticism from opposition and civil liberties groups who fear it could be used to curb civil rights.

Can Nigerians remember the last time a boko haram terrorist was tried and sentenced to death? Are there boko haram terrorist even going through court trials under this regime? If the bloody terrorists above were caught in Nigeria, they would have been released as ''Repentant Terrorist'' and absorbed into Nigerian army.

Chad is doing what is good for pleasing Chadians. Nigeria is doing what is good for pleasing America by satisfying Amnesty international. Unfortunately, and as usual, Nigeria citizens miss the opportunity to achieve the right result by apportion blame in right place. Nigerians always apportion blame on selves i.e on Nigeria. For instance, Nigeria citizens preoccupation with apportioning blame on self made them believe that Buhari influences the freeing of terrorists simply because Niger Delta militants received amnesty. Nigerians should concentrate on criticising Amnesty international and America for this is liable to interest the world media, which will draw spotlight on Buhari.

I've stopped blaming Buhari because he didn't vote himself into office and I don't blame almajiris up North either because they don't differentiate between their right and left.

The supposedly educated fools down South who not only voted him in but still defend his incompetence deserve to be rounded up and shot.
