A prophecy is a declaration of a future event as revealed by God. It is not a mere mental prediction that is based on current permutations.
Man however, is limited in his ability to perfectly understand and articulate this Divine message and so it is easy to point out grammatical lapse that are purely human. 1Cor 13:9 says "For we know in part, and we prophecy in part".
They may be acclaimed prophecies which did not come from God, but to declare all prophecies fake is to negate the omniscience of God who knows the end from the beginning. So 1These 5:20 warns us to "despise not prophesying".
Several times in the Bible, God has spoken through prophets to warn of an impending danger. That does not make the prophet a prophet of doom for he is only a messenger. It also does not connote God has no solution to the problem. All we need to do right now is to go to God in prayers and ask for mercies that the plague be taken away.
