Roland17:Hopefully, really. If he is not confident with most of the playing staff, the summer is a chance to change that. He will have no excuses next season. You are absolutely right about the primary reason for our El exit and I have clarified on that before now even during the game. I was looking at the scenario of the first goal and trying to analyse it. Fans have tagged it on Leno but it was Ozil who didn't check his man. Same goes to Socrates for the second. |

Me, am still hurting about our Europa League exit that I don't have it in me to celebrate Liverpool's potential unbeaten run being broken. I still don't understand why Martinelli was on the bench all through out the game and Lacazzete was misfiring, or how Pepe was busy show boating and no one cautioned him. As for Leno, I don't know what is his problem, inexperience, I guess... ![]() Arteta has a lot work to do. He should take the blame but not all of it. The players have to take some responsibility too. I hope we don't sell Aubamablootclatyang Sha... ![]() |

Jodera:If I talk now! The changes in the midfield and attack look good and it is good to see Mari get his first start but this man will run the defense to the ground eh! Why is Holding not starting in place of Luiz? How about Niles at RB in place of Sok? or Sok for Luiz? As for Saka, it is obvious we are intentionally choosing to run him to the ground. I just hope this does not mean Lacazette will start against Westham! ![]() |

Torreira out injured with what looks like a knee injury, replaced by Ceballos. What a season!!!!! |

I was going to call out Nelson for being useless on the right side of our attack, then he sends in that cross from the right side which finds his partner on the right wings and it's a goal ![]() |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by BlueRayDick: 9:42pm On Mar 02, 2020 |
Thus far, seems Pablo Mari is equally a ball playing CB like Luiz. He's not afraid to pass the ball into space when he sees one. I just wish Xhaka can at least take one to tgree steps with the ball at his feet like Caballos does. Seeing Ceballos move with the ball instead of passing sideways and subtly killing off attacking intent at times can be frustrating. |

Torreira's injury is not as bad as initially feared. Hopefully, subsequent scans support this claim from the medical team. |

Roland17:I know he'll feel like, nobody to replace Saka. But he just need to make that boy rest. Not only is he still young, but he's playing games every 3-4 days which is for players at their peak mostly of age 24-27. If he starts lacazette against west ham, then, I know his head is touching little by little. Also, wat have AMN done that he's not making the squad again. Isn't it baffling? |

If we want to be taken serious as a team, we should dispose Xhaka to free space in the middle for a player who will actually perform as a proper DM or CM in that midfield. Having a physical player who rarely passes forward, frequently fouls without winning ball from opposing players and refuses to play to the strength of his player is not what is required of a team that wants to be considered as challenging for the title next year. It's better arsenal tries to buy Ceballos, then sell off Xhaka to free space for a physical midfielder who will be willing to contribute more to attack. I'm tired of seeing Xhaka playing all because he's the only player that is assumed to have physical strength in the middle, but yet we keep praying and hoping he doesn't get booked for a rash challenge when he's not busy playing the ball back to the defence. I think if Pablo Mari remains a ball playing defender like he's shown in glimpses this night, getting a strong midfielder to replace Xhaka who will provide cover for the CB won't be bad |
