Imo Election: Supreme Court Set To Hear Ihedioha’s Application by kahal29: 9:16am On Mar 03, 2020
The Supreme Court is set to hear an application filed by Emeka Ihedioha of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), asking it to review its judgement on the Imo governorship that declared Hope Uzodinma of the All Progressives Congress (APC) winner of the March 9, 2010 election.

This comes a day after the top court adjourned the matter due to an application filed by Kanu Agabi, who is Ihedioha’s lead counsel.

Agabi, SAN, told the court that he had just been served with some processes by Governor Hope Uzodinma and needs time to respond.

Mr Ihedioha and the PDP had approached the Supreme Court after it on January 14 nullified his victory and declared Mr Uzodinma as the winner of the election.

Mr Ihedioha had been declared the winner of the election the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and had served as governor for months before the court ousted him.

If a pregnant woman says she has high blood pressure and you also see she has swollen legs/face, GET HER TO A HOSPITAL ASAP.

Why? Uncontrolled high blood pressure can make a pregnant woman have a seizure, go unconscious, lose her baby and lose her life.

Share please. Save a life.

This is a medical condition called PRE-ECLAMPSIA. It happens in pregnant women usually after 5months.

They have high blood pressure and protein in urine. There may be no symptoms at all. That is why it is a very dangerous condition.

This is why they must go for antenatal care.

But in some women with the condition, there may be symptoms like:
-swelling of the feet, ankles, face and hands caused by fluid retention (oedema)
-severe headache
-vision problems like blurred vision
-pain just below the ribs

All of these are signs of an impending eclampsia.

It is called ECLAMPSIA- if the pregnant woman has a seizure. This is a life threatening situation for both mother and child.

That child must be taken out of the mother to save her life.

Thankfully, with good monitoring, this is rare- but if it ever happens, the woman can die.

What causes Pre Eclampsia?

We don’t know the exact cause of pre-eclampsia, it's thought to occur when there's a problem with the placenta (the organ that links the baby's blood supply to the mother's)

We only know of certain things that can increase a woman’s risk of having it.

Things that can increase a woman’s risk are:

Diabetes,
Hypertension,
Kidney disease,
Obesity, (especially BMI more than 35)
Twin/Triplet pregnancy,
Being pregnant after 40years,
Taking a break of 10 years since your last pregnancy, And having family members with the condition.

The most important things to learn:
Register for antenatal care if you are pregnant. Make sure you get your blood pressure and urine checked.

Use your medications if prescribed.

If you start to get any of the symptoms I listed above, go to hospital ASAP.

Thanks for reading.

Uche Nwosu was the APC & AA candidate in Imo State and because of that Supreme Court disqualified him for double candidacy in December 2019.

Question is: which party gave Hope Uzodinma ticket to become governor in January 2020 since Uche Nwosu was both APC & AA candidate?

If Supreme Courts says APC won, then the party's flag bearer is Uche Nwosu who has been disqualified.

As far as March 9 governorship election in Imo was concerned Hope Uzodinma was not a candidate of any party.

Please Supreme Court should put the records straight and give us our dear Ihedioha.

Today, we watch and wait to see the miracle that will happen to our judiciary institution.

Will a candidate who wins without the constitutionally required spread be commissioned as a governor?

Or

Will the judiciary redeem its image and that of the posterity by sending the two candidates back to the pooling booth in protection of the sacred constitution of the nation

I'm not for Ihedioha nor against Hope

I'm for fairness, equity, justice and balance of the law to the common man in Imo state.

Supreme court cannot reverse its judgement, even as the judgement is full of errors. However, it will be noted so as to avoid future occurrence.

Very unlikely that the supreme court will change their stance no matter how strong the evidence might seem!
