Yes, you could build web apps like Instagram and Facebook with python's django... Building the backend with Django's rest framework while the frontend with 'preferably' javascript reactjs library... However, due to Django's modules being built with minor support of WebSockets, the live chat may not be built too solid compared to web apps written with node... Anything else's pretty much good to go

Sure. Instagram runs on Django I think, Netflix also runs on Python and I heard some department under usa d.o.d. also runs Django.

You will probably need a fronted library like react or the more robust Angular 4.

List comprehension is another vital way of manipulating lists in python.

for example to print a list of squared values in python, it can be performed as

numbers = [1,2,3,4,5,6]
squaredNumbers = [num ** 2 for num in numbers]
print(squaredNumbers)

The same objective can be achieved with fewer lines of code thus:

However, focus your attention on the modules that would assist in your goal.

Certainly you can. You just need to integrate with a database of your choice and thankfully Django comes with bells and whistles that make the connection to a database a breeze through MODELS.

Before we begin our journey into the exciting world of python, we need to get a couple of things set up. This would help us write our code effectively and enhance debugging. We will need to download some software and install them on our machines to get started.
Some of the softwares we need to install are: the python compiler, a text editor preferably Visual Studio Code, Git Bash for windows users and Pydroid 3 for Android Users.
