You can mostly get pre 2000 model vehicles for 300k .....

Any post 2000 vehicle being put for sale at 300k is most likely a lemon, stolen, or a distress sale

So pls don't mind that nigga up there saying you can get a baby boy or 406 for 300k....He is right to the extent you can get a contraption that looks like a baby boy or 406....Aside distress sales, The major question is whether the car won't spend more time at the mechanic than you driving it grin....

And if you are waiting for someone to fall into so much misfortune that he will need to sell his car to you for a ridiculously low price, then you are the 'village people' everyone is talking about sad

Stop saying what you don't know.

I recently bought a 2008 vehicle manual transmission less than 200k, yes I got there inspect it and told the owner all the wahala the car has and I can't pay upto 200k for it.

It's not a stolen car anyway, I drove it that same day to southwest Nigeria from Abuja a journey of 700km plus and it didn't break down on the road even once.

The idea is to know a little about cars and remove fixing price from asking price stand your ground, if seller no gree move on to the next one.

Note if you are looking for cheap cars please leave Toyota and Honda and afix your mind on manual transmission

I think you are right.
Unless you are buying a car you will buy and go fix with about 100k. When it comes to a buy and drive car, Honda baby boy is not it.
It can get a Honda Accord 1996 but don’t ask for A.C. Bc the compressor usually needs just gas!!! Lol that’s the mantra

Also, can you throw more lights on products. You know nairalanders worship Toyota too much. Kindly name the brands as regards to this thread

I’m not in the habit of looking for cars and taking pictures and asking prices to validate an arguement on nairaland... but I’m sure your ability to use web based applications will come in handy for this.

Aside buying tires and changing clutch pot when I purchased, I haven’t done a single thing to the car

These cars can be bought for 300k
Their looks may not be an excellent look but it’s a car that you will do minor repairs.
Note: manual cars are usually far cheaper than autos in Nigeria

Golf 1,2,3 Manual

Honda Accord 1995-1999

Mercedes 190 manual

Hyundai Accent 1997-2003 all manual

Peugeot 407 1997 model

Volkswagen Passat 1994-1999 manual

Toyota Camry 1994-1996(orobo)

Nissan primera 1998 manual

Toyota Carina E 1996 manual

Nissan Maxima 1997 auto

Hyundai Sonata 1999 manual

https://buy.cars45.com/hot-deals/hyundai-sonata-1999-automatic-ng-453234?filter=1015%2C1016%2C1017

Nissan Quest 1999

Etc

Note: for buying a Nigerian used car, even if it’s moving well. You will still need to upgrade the car to be more reliable. Eg change tires, shocks, plugs etc

That Benz model is simply rugged. Many overlook Benz because of fuel consumption, but not all Benz consume too much fuel.
