Hello I received my dna results and they say that I am 49 percent Nigerian. I was hoping that someone would let me know which tribe my features resemble. It would be a great help in my search of me finding my roots.

The thick lips you have makes me surmise you are Yoruba. Just the "Ajebo" type

I'll go with Yoruba, but to further confirm this you must know Yorubas like spicy food, and generally have curvy hips.. but facially I see a Yoruba in you 100% , Ondo state or Ekiti to be precise

OP Just out of curiosity how much european dna do you have?

Usually black americans have significant european ancestry between 15 - 30 %

I have 17 percent French, 1 percent Irish and 4 percent Spain/Portugal

@ Adeba01. You are correct sir. The reason black Americans have a significant amount of European ancestry is because of the excessive rape perpetrated by White slave masters on African female slaves during the slave trade era.

My pictures are not heavily filtered... Relax the first three have filters just for artistic purpose, I don't alter my face at all...but the last one is taken with my phone that has an excellent camera in front of my window that has an iridescent window film on it that is reflecting onto me...

49% Nigerian is a solid composition for someone far removed from Africa for hundreds of years despite the several mixing going on.

From your looks, definitely not Igbo. More like Yoruba or middle belt (but the middle belt region had very few slaves sold). Mostly Igbo and Yoruba were sold to the Americas, followed by Ibibio, Efik etc.
