Nowadays, the word ”I’m sorry” has become normal to some people they find it difficult to accept the word due to the way people often use it. It is just an ordinary word to them. They say it anyhow expecting the other person to accept the apology. One will tell the other one “I’m sorry” and the other fires back “is it sorry that I’ll eat”. Therefore, here are ten other ways you can exhibit your remorsefulness without sounding cruel: I apologise… I had that wrong… I take full responsibility… It was all my fault… How stupid/careless/thoughtless of me… My mistake.. Gjrich:OP you didn't even put it well, they won't even put the "I'm..." they'll just say "sorry" and they say it without really meaning it, especially when the situation doesn't necessitate it usage, for instance some Nigerians will rather than saying "excuse me" would instead just utter sorry to someone who is in their way as they move passed the obstructer, say in a public walkway In Nigeria, once a word or an expression gets into the lips of the common people, it becomes so overuse that it eventually bears no meaning or misused to denote another meaning entirely different from the original English meaning.
