If we considere Nigeria's re-emergence as the continent top economic giant with a valuation of around 400billion dollars under Buhari as an achievement , then Jonathan whose time Nigeria emerged as a economic giant with a valuation of around 500billion dollars was truly the most fantastic moment in Nigeria's history...

Under GEJ Nigeria had d biggest GDP in Africa. Buhari took us to recession and we came down.
Now SA themselves have entered recession and we re back to where we were, so I no see Buhari hand anything.

B4 u insult me, ask urslf if Naira has strengthened against SA Rand or Ghanian Cesdis since Buhari came in.
This is a victory to all hardworking Nigerians out there
I agree everything you said except the Ghana input.

Ghana is not a top 8 African economy.
They are irrelevant when discussing economy.

Nigeria was growing at 6-7% not too long ago.

That is the only way to measure a working government.

Unless buhari gets back to that dizzy heights, then praising him is just sycophancy.

What is it to celebrate about ? Is it the improvement in our power sector that increases tariff without electricity ? Is it in agriculture where the herdsmen have driven away the farmers from their farms destroying their crops? Is it in exchange rate of naira ?
Please stop celebrating when a common man cannot feel the Impact on GDP.

I pray for this nation to surpass America in terms of prosperity and good living for our sake and for the sake of my precious children... If u ever want to marry and rise your children here u must wish this country to succeed but hatred can blind a youth to the extent he is cursing his own nation and self and eventually becoming a curse to his nation, I might not like our present leaders though I want them to succeed but I would never wish my country evil cos I not like our present leaders...

It took South Africa's recession to make Nigerian economy 1st. This does not in anyway indicate progress, cos our economy didn't get any better, South African economy just got bad. In other words, South Africa now have their own Buhari.
Sense will not kill me!

Remember Nigeria got into recession like South Africa and other countries. Nigeria has since come out of the recession and is making gradual but steady progress, South Africa has been limping.

Try to believe in your country

You were only waiting for South Africa to slip into recession before overtaking it and you're thumping your chest that you've done well. It is more like a boxer who has been thoroughly beaten in a competitive match who only came back when his competitor was sleeping to claim victory. We would wait for your comment few months from now when South Africa wakes up to see how you're President who has no clear economic policies has been able to do magic over night.

After over the killings of 2million Nigeria by insecurity, abegii [Thequote author=okrote4real post=87157787]Nigeria Re-emergence As Africa’s Biggest Economy, An Economic Scorecard of President Buhari Administration - APC

Nigeria's re-emergence as Africa's biggest economy after overtaking South Africa which has entered its second recession in two years, is a rewarding and fitting economic scorecard of the President Muhammadu Buhari administration.

This is not a small feat and should be celebrated by all. The All Progressives Congress (APC) congratulates the President, the APC family, and indeed all Nigerians. Those expecting the worst and wishing the country ill-fortune should now give up. The task of developing a nation is a collective one. Politics should not drive Nigeria apart; it should unite us when the interest of our nation is involved.

Since the Nigerian economy exited recession in 2017, the country's economic growth has not been a fluke but a result of deliberate practices and policies of the President Buhari administration that has increased transparency in governance, diversification of the economy away from oil, improved fiscal management, and a healthy protectionist approach which has aided the growth and increased the capacity of domestic producers and in turn created jobs.

The hugely successful anti-corruption efforts such as implementation of a Treasury Single Account that allows the government to better track and manage its resources and a more transparent government payroll and personnel system that eliminated duplication and "ghost workers" has alleviated poverty and made more cash available for critical infrastructure projects. Private sector investment and confidence in the economy is at a record high as a result of government's development of a stronger public-private partnerships for roads, agriculture, and power.

Economic growth is being achieved despite dwindling resources as a result of low oil prices. The fact that we are making commendable progress with all the challenges shows this government is doing the right thing. There is no doubt about the determination of the Buhari government to continue to take the right steps to create jobs, grow the economy, create a secure environment, massively develop our infrastructure and develop our other resources through focused and well reasoned diversification policies.

The APC government is opening up supports in terms of finance, ease of doing business, and other services to enable the release of the latent creative energies of our youths. Our youths should take advantage of the conducive business environment the APC government is creating by investing their time in productive endeavours. They should free themselves from those who had dragged Nigeria down to the cliff edge and are trying to use our youths to create social disharmony. We call on our very enterprising youths to back out of the destructive course the opposition is leading them and join the current journey into prosperity this government is pursuing

Of course, there are still a lot of challenges on the way. The journey is not going to be a walk in the park. That is not unusual, considering the level of decay our nation has sunk into under the watch of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the current efforts of the PDP leaders to slow down our progress as a nation. However, this government, under the capable hand of President Buhari is single-minded and courageous enough to lead our country to the promised land.

This is a case of a guy who came out 10 in his new school as against 50 he used to come out in his previous school. This is interesting you would say. His previous school had 50 students whereas his present school has only ten students.
South Africa just slipped into recession that is the leverage Nigeria has. In the time of dying sun(dusk) even dwarf casts giant shadow. The wind brough down the building and goat climbed to the roof of the building.

A tortoise crawls down the road and is overtaken by several animals lions cheetahs rabbits ... but alas finally he crawls past the fox who had sped past him earlier but has become grounded due to a broken leg. The tortoise now jubilates and says .. wow i have won the race .. i should be congratulated.. i beating his chest he says yes i have done well... forgetting that he is still last .. maybe not the least..but definitely still way behind.

The tortoise is Nigeria.

So how were you expecting champions to be champions.
Champions win because they take advantage of the weakness of the opponent.
Do not let anger and hate damage the minute sense you still have.
