Banknotes Can Spread Coronavirus, WHO Warns by blazesam(op): 4:50am On Mar 05, 2020

As the coronavirus assumes pandemic proportion globally, the World Health Organisation has warned that banknotes could aid the transmission of the infectious disease.

The United Nations body, therefore, counselled people to rather go cashless when making purchases

In the event where they handle money, people should make it a regular habit to wash their hands immediately, the global health body added.

The WHO warned that coronavirus could be on the surface of banknotes for several days, hence the need for people to refrain from using money for transactions as much as possible.

This is serious considering on how we handle money here and there. God will keep protecting us. To avert this we have to completely go cashless. Pos machine should be freely distributed to traders and business owners. Also there should be quick transfer like barcode to process payment. Crypto will be helpful this time I think.

If its true then the virus can't be curtailed @ all.....alot of these businessmen/women in the market hate wireless transactions......some don't even have bank account......one was even telling me that when people come to buy from him.......he gives discount to the people with cash and increases the money for those that want to do transfer because with cash he feels rich....so imagine this kind of wack thinking... ...I just pray it's not true.

Thoughts on my mind now:

1. So how does one give a bus conductor money in a rugged city like Lagos?

2. Perhaps wearing gloves in public would be a better approach as opposed to just sanitisers?

This is proof that no matter the steps taken to prevent this virus, if God himself doesn't curtail it, humanity is doomed. This just shows how fragile the human life could be...
