I doubt. Na coincidence.Let's not justify that his action. He has no business at that wing. Him dropping at that wing has cost us chances. So to me, he never made any contribution. The first goal was just kross and vinicius alone with the aid of that deflection.

Football always has Domino effects, everything in football is about sequences..if Semedo was with Vinny there kroos wouldn't have made that pass..

And asking if I was in his mind is quite dumb tbh..we all know that's his game, that's what he does, he loves dropping deep and pulling markers and opening up space for others, that is and always has been his game..credit where credit is due

And FergieRaww there is no modern striker that is world-class right now that is static or stationery in the box, this your definition of how a number 9 should position is not correct even the Legendary Raul was always drifting, makes it harder for defenders to track you and also opens up space for others..

With that being said Benzema will be best suited playing with someone who has more of a killer instinct that can attack the spaces he opens up the way Vinny did and the way Ronaldo always does

All these argument doesn't change the fact that benzema has been crap. We need a real no 9 at the moment. Benzema is not in form. Maybe fatigue or so but let him rest small.

We need a halaand, mariano, jovic... A ferocious hungry striker. Not a dude that always run out of position.

Benzema plays like firmino in Liverpool but the difference between both is firmino complement mane and salah. Goals come from these two guys.

Benzema was appreciatd when Ronaldo was there and bale was still on full form. He complements these two guys and so many goals came from them because his ideology as a false 9 worked very well

Not withstanding, benzema is everyone's favorite but at the moment, his false 9 doesn't work coz we have no one to get us goals like Ronaldo did

Mbappe would have been a very good replacement cos he wold complement benzema when he plays as the false 9. He would get us the goals needed

We have jovic who is strictly a no9. Why not play him and get the goals coz the attacking wingers and the full backs can feed him with crosses and jovic would be in the box doing what a no9 is supposed to be doing. Mariano comes to mind too as a very good no9
