Thank God I double checked as it just didnt add up.
Been looking for a schools contact.
Came to NL as the hub of informations.
Searched and found someone.
Got the number and called.

I asked about admission form.
She sounded elderly and real.
First turn off was shouting Secretary in my ears.
Saying she will tell her Secretary to send me the application form after I must have paid in the account she would send to me.
I also sat down to ask myself what the school website says.
DO NOT PAY INTO ANY PERSONAL ACCOUNT!
Everything is done online.
I called a friend and she said she did everything online

Madam scammer called me again to ask if I am paying this minute cos the form is closing today and if I had called earlier, she would have sent my form with another students own. That I needed to be fast about payment.
Another Red flag.

I told her to send the details that I was going to the bank now. She asked if I couldn't transfer. I said no.

She sent her details and I am sure she is expecting an alert soon

Oops, the second d time she called, she sounded different..lol

On to how I knew she is a scammer.
I searched her number out on nairaland.

How one person is the contact person to 5 different schools beat me.

How I should pay into an account beats me. When the school clearly states that it's all done online.

I called her for information but she asked I send money for form instead.

I would play along and tell her I have sent the money.
Let me see how far.
Except her co-horts sees this and alerts her.

And o. She said the application form is 15,500 while its stated 10,000 on the school website

I need to do a TopUp degree.

Any one with useful information please help.

There are many scammers on nairaland. I never knew elderly women will get involved in such.

They just scammed my girlfriend 50k last week..


But I feel like I'm the one who got scammed because I have been feeling the heat..

Cry up on cry.. But that's not even the problem now.

The problem is when she cries I don't even know how to console her and say sorry.

Why can't I console someone and say sorry even when their loved ones die even though I feel the pain more than those crying and saying sorry...

Thank God you were smart enough.
Someone also scammed my younger sister few weeks ago. The painful part was that, she was making and receiving the calls in my presence. I told this girl to let me know what going on, she said I should not bother. Okay oh, until 20k was transferred . Now someone is disturbing me to help out , what my own. Moya look alway.

I think it would be a good idea to set her up. Get the police to request that the bank blocks her ATM and transfer function of her account.

Sooner or later she will show up to complain to the bank's customer service.

Let the police be waiting with handcuffs to pick her up when she shows up.
