It's cheap and fit our budget.

We stayed in an hotel in Manchester, private room in an hostel in Edinburgh.

I think it depends on the type of hotel, city and closeness to city center. I also think for someone on a budget, it's a good option to look at

No host on site in all the ones we've used. Although they are always a phone call away. Also come in the morning to tidy up and restock
