In my opinion they are different scenarios.

Sigurdsson, I think was laying on the path the ball travelled going into the net. He was offside and was impeding the play. At least this is how I saw it. Nelson was far away from the action, the ball was no where near him as he was not involved in the play neither was there any possibility of his position to impede the flow of the game.
