Openbusiness:What you tryna point out here is that the Kano traditional law supercedes that of Nigeria constitution right? |

PrinceMajestic:Just like Obasanjo, i received the news as good and bad. Good in the sense that, Sanusi had probably sworn to himself that restoring the throne of his grandfather was the biggest ambition of his life after the grandfather was dethroned and his uncle took over. Sanusi found himself at logger heads with his uncle and cousins, Ado Bayero and his children who would have loved to keep the throne henceforth within their nuclear family. Sanusi beat them to get the throne but could not keep it due to the eagle eyes of his cousins who still habour the wishes of their father to keep the throne within a nuclear family. Sanusi has served, his name is written, his children are direct heirs to the throne so i will say Sanusi is still fulfilled no matter what. The throne is not far from his own Nuclear family. Bad in the sense that the Kano Emirate has been reduce to nothing. 2 of Ado Bayero's son's are Emirs but the five Emirs put together cannot wield the influence of the last true Emir, Sanusi. Bad for the Kano Emirate and bad for people who pride themselves of a powerful Emir and emirate. It is also bad for Ganduje's political reputation. Ganduje's life and political presence will end with this office of governor. Lastly, even though Sanusi may want to remain in exile to preserve the tradition of his people for dethroned rulers, i feel he should free himself of the traditional bondage and come back to national limelight where his reputation surpasses Ganduje's a million fold. Sanusi could even be Nigeria's president in future, I will vote him. |

Urchman200:Is Ibori going to prison a bad thing? But he has paid for his sins. That is the aim of the law. How many other politicians have paid as much for their loot? They should just get more money from him if possible. Despite helping jail Ibori, you guys also say Jonathan never fought corruption. That is the proverbial speaking from both corners of the mouth. |

Lexusgs430:Those Kings you mentioned will not do overt politics otherwise they will be dethroned and nothing will happen. It's not that they too don't have their preferred candidates among politicians but they will always apply wisdom to preserve the dignity of the throne. |

Heftee001:Oga forget about 9ja constitution when it comes to hausa-fulani northerners. They live by their own islamic sharia laws and culture, and they are happy like that. Abi when they're doing sharia, or doing hisbah and arresting people, even a police officer, you no remember 9ja constitution but na now ontop Sanusi you wan remember 9ja Constitution? Even Sanusi is not complaining, he has submitted himself to exile by their own laws, even Sanusi is more loyal to his religion and culture more than 9ja constitution. |

Lexusgs430:That they don't do it doesn't mean they can't. It depends on how much the King's is loved by the people. Kano people didn't really like Sanusi and saw him as very elitist and radical. That's why Gandollar could move against him without fear of popular uprising |

Hmm.... |
| Re: Timeline Of Ganduje And Sanusi Feud by NGpatriot: 2:23pm On Mar 10, 2020 |
Hoephase:This has nothing to do with thew EFCC, he was sacked for gross insubordination and disobedience to constituted authority based on state laws. Sanusi is not above the law or above the state's constituted authority. Arrogance, insubordination, locking horn with your boss and carrying shoulder as if you are untouchable will get you sacked, if you don't believe me, go and try it with your OGA at work and see how fast you get sacked. |
| Re: Timeline Of Ganduje And Sanusi Feud by Kobicove(m): 3:11pm On Mar 10, 2020 |
Lexusgs430:He has been deposed and the decision is final! Sanusi should go and eat sh1t! |
| Re: Timeline Of Ganduje And Sanusi Feud by NGpatriot: 3:31pm On Mar 10, 2020 |
Lexusgs430:Because the sacked emir was a public official hired by the governor and working under the governor. The governor was his boss and your boss can hire and sack you. Clear enough? |

Urchman200:You too sabi. Ibori had plans of becoming the president of this nation. Like it or not theres the principle of zoning then even if apc are now declaring it false. If Jonathan from south south became president then south south has chopped hier turn and his dreams will be gone. Hence he was against Jonathan becoming president. Hence Jonathan made sure he went to jail. |
| Re: Timeline Of Ganduje And Sanusi Feud by Hoephase: 5:43pm On Mar 10, 2020 |
NGpatriot:I am not saying that he is above the law but it was indicated that he misappropriated billions of naira. Which I believe is a financial crime. |
