I have received many calls from Nigerians who want to change their environment by moving to Ghana, the challenge most people however face is how to settle in in terms of accommodation and what to do in terms of Jobs. Ghana, apart from being peaceful also enjoys stable electricity adding to the convenience of doing business in Ghana. In three simple steps i listing ways you can relocate and stay in Ghana.

1. School
I am sure anyone will agree that it is an advantage to start off by going to school to obtain a degree from a relevant and accredited university here in Ghana. Through applying to go to school, you will earn a Ghanaian degree which helps you fit into the Ghanaian system and guarantees your acceptance and makes you eligible to work in Ghana. As a student you will need a place to stay, you should apply to a university that has a hostel facility, since the rooms are mostly shared you pay less for a place to stay for the entire duration of your program.

2. Network
It is said that your network determines your net-worth, whilst in school you should make a conscious effort to make good friends and carry yourself around with integrity and honesty. Definitely being of the right attitude will get you noticed and recommended by your classmates for jobs or act as your reference when the need arise.

3. Culture
One Place to learn about the different cultures in Ghana is in school, Ghana just like any other country has cultural diversity, understand the culture of the tribes in Ghana will help you build trust and understand the way of life of Ghanaians. This will give you a big advantage and help you as well to over come language barriers.

4. Business
Since you are in school and paying less for accommodation, the smart move will be to start off a business if you are the business minded type. It may mean being disciplined but hey you know exactly what you are after. The best place to start your business is in school because you have an existing market to sell to colleagues whose trust you should have earned over time, this is where you will get all the recommendations you need to start off after school because your colleagues will be come working class after school and will also recommend you to other people at their work places.

This 4 simple steps have been put together for my friends in Nigeria who want to move to Ghana, if you ambitious you can go through the steps i have listed above to achieve your aim to relocate to Ghana and do a decent Job.

Please we don’t need more Nigerians in Ghana. We have more than enough Nigerians in Ghana today. Ghana is a small country and we are fighting to improve the lives of our people. I don’t hate Nigerians, but every country, including Nigeria, is protecting the interest of its citizens first. Didn’t Nigeria close its land borders to “protect its national interests?” So why should Ghana allow foreigners to just come into its territory and take the benefits due its citizens?
