Note/Disclaimer*

1) This statistics is in no way indicative of the population of these ethnic groups. Rather it is just a show of their political spread and classifications.

2) Some related ethnic groups classified together here have a controversial stance on either being together or being very distinct from one another.
However, for the sake of ease of putting this piece together, similar ethnic groups who have been classified together one way or the other in the past were classified together.

3) This research was done based on indigeneship, not overall population outside the native homelands of these ethnic groups.

4) This piece was compiled after a lot of research, however it is certainly not likely to be 100% correct.
Corrections are highly welcomed.

Ok
Why don't you do something to unravel the population of pagans and atheists in nigeria.i realized that most of those that the media classify as christians are not Christians its a wrong generalization.in rural cross river, most of the people are not Christians nd have never set foot in church.they are largely traditional worshippers but when there's an attack there, they will be labelled as christian areas.

Bonny/Opobo (Ibanis) are Ijaws even though many of them speak Igbo as a 1st language. They proudly identify as Ijaw, while Ogbia & Epie-Engenni (Yenagoa) very much accept the Ijaw identity and flaunt it, even though they are not originally Ijaws.

Every Jukun person has the name of his subgroup! It is either every Jukunoid speaker is a Jukun or nobody is a Jukun..

Even the Wukari & Takum you are talking about are occupied by Kpanzu, Wapan, Kuteb & some Jibu.

All the Jukun subgroups understand each other when they speak... How then can some be Jukuns and others cannot?

Why don't you do something to unravel the population of pagans and atheists in nigeria.i realized that most of those that the media classify as christians are not Christians its a wrong generalization.in rural cross river, most of the people are not Christians nd have never set foot in church.they are largely traditional worshippers but when there's an attack there, they will be labelled as christian areas.

This post no make sense, I suspect you're a northerner trying to devide the people. It's impossible.

In the South East.
The traditional religions have mixed with Christianity, Especially Catholic, that even native doctors are elders/have titles in churches

I'm not a Christian, I'm an agnostic.
All my relatives are Christians and Christianity is my umbrella

1) Tiv is number 2 after Ibibio. Take it or leave it.

2) Hausa-Fulani are the smallest majority ethnic group amongst the big 3. Take it or leave it.

For the last time, there are no Igalas in Anambra state.

If there exist they should be carved back to Kogi state..

They maybe in Enugu state after all Enugu is a multi lingual state but not here.

They speak Igbo as first language but proudly Identifies as Ijaw?

Are you okay?

Are you not tired with this your agenda which to me is furnished from heal.

Though I am not interested in what happens in that state a bit but I have friends who were born and from these places with Igbo names, speaks Igbo and doesn't deny.

Your research is always riddled with sentiments and it is very bad.
Igbo man , Ibani people have never been Igbo and will never be, stop this your recycled story of having friends from there, is Amanyanabo now an Ibo title, land grabber
