The convoy of Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo
was involved in an accident en route to
Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja,
on Friday.

A source disclosed this to TheCable, saying
one of the outriders in the convoy of
Nigeria’s number two citizen died in the
accident.

The vice-president was said to be heading to
the airport ahead of a flight to Lagos when
the incident happened.

Laolu Akande, spokesman of the vice-
president, who did not initially respond to
TheCable’s inquiry on the accident, later
issued a statement to confirm the incident.

“With grief in our hearts, we announce the
death of one of the police escort riders on
the Vice President’s convoy, Inspector Ali
Gomina, aged 45, who was involved in a road
accident while on official duty today,” the
statement read.

“The accident occurred on the road to the
Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport. The
Vice President, who is greatly saddened by
this occurrence, has aborted the scheduled
trip.

“The Vice President described Gomina as a
diligent, hardworking and serious-minded
officer who will be greatly missed by the
team. He is survived by his wife, children and
relatives.”

There were concerns last year when a
chopper which conveyed Osinbajo to a
political rally in Kabba, Kogi state, crashed.

Again? In February 3rd 2019 his Helicopter crash-landed and now his convoy in Accident, What is happening in Nigeria? They failed the People and they themselves are not save on the roads they abandoned

Why won't they be involved in accident?

Politics makes even decent Nigerians to be so senseless.

When you see these politicians drive in their convoy, they speed as though they have two lives.

Who's even chasing after them if not their dirty past?

The annoying part is that they never stop when they bash your car.

Maybe when these politicians get killed often in road mishaps, they would know that they don't have a spare life at home.

I know this is harsh, but I don't give a hoot!

The way those convoy speed, it required cautioning. This is the second time vice president is having accident, first it was chopper, now vehicle accident. These can be signs of spiritual warning. May the soul of the victim rest in peace.
