5 HABITS TO DROP IF YOU WANT TO PASS YOUR ICAN EXAM

A recent survey done by a team of expert revealed that 70% of students fail their exam as a result of study habit.

So if you are spending hours studying and not getting the results you want, you may have a “study habit” or two that needs dropped.

On today’s article post, discover five study habits you should ditch today if you want to pass your exam and become chartered in no time.

1. Late material: most student buy their E-Class Video Lecture 2months when tension has already start to build up. But, most professional exam have 6months interval hence, get your E-Class Video Lecture early and prepare for the exam.

2. Studying with Friends: studying with friends is fun. Sometimes, you may lose out on quality study time by socializing. However, studying alone is the best buy. But if you the type that can’t on his own find one good study-friend. Otherwise, “just say no” when everyone wants to study together.

3. Bad Environment: A poor study environment can ruin all quality time. If you are uncomfortable at a chair, desk, room, the temperature is too cold or too hot, you will have an unsuccessful studying. Moreover, you can test out different sites until you find the best place for you. It may be the library, it may be your room, your bed, your best friend’s backhouse. Who knows? Find what works best for you and stick with it.

3. Eat and Drinking: Eating too much food during studying can disrupt retention of material. It can also take too much time away. You may want to snack lightly during studying, but not eat enormous meals. Keep a small bag of snacks by your study area. You won’t have to leave the area just to pick up food when you get hungry while drinking is a double-edged sword. Never drink alcohol while studying. However, it is important to stay awake and hydrated. Just have a glass of water by your side. Be very careful not to spill it onto your books and papers.

4. Multi-Tasking: Many people are able to multi-task, meaning they can do several different things at once. This can be good for daily tasks. When it comes to studying, you may not retain as much in the E-Class Video Lecture if you were to focus purely on one task. Before almighty ICAN exam, drop everything else for at least 2weeks and focus purely on the studying. When it is complete, you can return to your multi-tasking.

4. TAKE 5 MINUTES BREAK AFTER EVERY 33 MINUTES OF STUDY:

Take a short break of 5 minutes from studying after studying for 33 minutes and 33 seconds.

prevent you from becoming mentally exhausted.
This will help you to replenish your energy and prevent you from sleeping.

Good day house, while filling my ican form I uploaded my passport but didn't know it did not load due to network. After saving it, I was suprise to see the completed form without passport.

Pls ma,what can I do to rectify this error?

Last diet, one of my students had this issue- overconfidence.

Tobi last diet, finished the syllabus and
solved enough ICAN past questions
and was ready to attack ICAN from
anywhere ICAN chose to pick questions from.
He did not know that he could fail that course.

Tobi had four courses left in Skills level.
He prepared well for two courses and the
other two courses, he did not prepare well for it.

In the exam hall, after attempting the two papers
he did not prepare well for, he did a re-check
to see any aspect that had errors and corrected it.
But for the other courses, he was too sure,
So he felt reviewing the work was not necessary
because he was so certain of what he wrote.

See some disadvantage here:

1. Overconfidence makes you to rate your

competence too high and makes you enter

into situations that are beyond your controls.

At the end of the day, there will be a

disconnection between what you think you know

(perceived ability) and what you actually know (reality).

2. It will allow you to start having

some thoughts that are not reasonable

which eventually leads to failure.

3. Overconfidence will not allow you

to do proper findings on the area of your weakness.

4. It will make you to be intolerant,

you will be so full of yourself,

you won’t want to hear other’s opinions

When ICAN result was released,
Tobi with his confidence went to check his result.
Tobi was surprised at the outcome,
He passed the two courses he thought
he did not prepare well for.
And
failed the other two courses he thought
was a concluded matter. He felt disappointed,
and was curious about what happened.

My question to him was,
“Did you review your work before submitting?”

Sometimes, over-confidence will make you
not to review questions properly before giving solutions,
and you’ll end mixing things up-
giving the right answer to the wrong question
and this will lead to failure.

However, it is not an excuse for
lack of confident in yourself.
Believing in your self will come
when you are sure to have done your best
by solving past questions in the Member’s area,
covering the ICAN VIDEO LECTURES at least two times,
attending the telegram class and participated.

Now more than ever, finance departments are exploring automation options to manage the accountant’s manual tasks. Humans may specialize in crunching the numbers for financial insight, but robots are revolutionizing the role.

THE REVOLUTION OF THE ROBOTS AND SOFTWARES

Take a short break of 5 minutes from studying after studying for 33 minutes and 33 seconds.

prevent you from becoming mentally exhausted.
This will help you to replenish your energy and prevent you from sleeping.

Exactly! they talk as if one is begging dem for smth. I'm sure ACCA helplines cannot be like dat. Some of the ICAN helplines talk to u unprofessionally. They are typical of Nigerian govt parastatals.
Try and call other numbers from d helplines and explain urself.
I submitted mine at the security post on 25th and I don't think they've touched it at all. the reason why I called.
