He wrote on Instagram, “Okay I’m so livid right now and quite appalled to say the least. Why is it that almost nothing guarantees you value in this country? Dear @lgafrica1 I bought a TV from one of your outlets less than a month ago for 499,000k so basically 500k and the screen got slightly cracked with a squash ball while my kids were playing around. Not only did my entire TV pack up and refused to come on which puts the quality of the product to serious questions because how do I pay so much for something only for it to shut down completely at the slightest push?

I was told on bringing it in to your store that the screen is not under warranty and it costs over 80% of the total amount to replace the screen. I honestly feel like this is a rip off because what then does my warranty cover? The plug maybe?

How is this supposed to be sustainable to average people who probably saved their hard earned income to purchase your product? What are we supposed to do with no warranty on what happens to be the most expensive component of the product?

No! This makes absolutely no sense to me.

Anybody out there has had any unpleasant experience like mine with these companies and would like to talk about it? This is truly unacceptable and I believe needs to be spoken about.”

Huh?

What are you on about Ramsey?

You mean @lgafrica1 was supposed to come to help you keep your kids in check and prevent them from turning your living room to a squash court?

No case here bro, pure negligence on your part and hell no way a damage by your kids should be covered by the said warranty.

Wrong call out sir, just go buy another TV bros.

What has the country being bad got to do with this? His kids played squash ball and destroyed the screen with the ball, and it becomes the country's problem!

Is it because he's an actor or what? Do you know how many people that got their tv screens cracked by their kids and they bought another without any noise?

Why should this even come up?

We have more pressing issues than this rubbish pls!

Unfortunately, the scenario explained though “accidental” to the owner, is classified as “wilful damage” by the supplier.

LG stores now moot “Insurance” at a nominal premium to ameliorate and cover events of this nature. Obtaining requisite insurance policies for most things has become key and pertinent!

On durability of the screen (getting bad at the slightest push), it may not be a contractual obligation from the seller to the buyer/customer, but I concur it may be a moral requirement for satisfactory end user/customer experience.

grin forget all this ranting, go buy another TV. Why on earth should your kids be playing squash ball in your living room what happened to outside? Parents spoiling kids all in the name of love/modernization. When we were kids, they no go even tell sef, all factory resets we received automatically notifies you on what not to do.

You and your wife are to be blamed for allowing your kids play roughly in the sitting room, lg ant changing any television for you, call them out all you want, your case holds no water, you will end up exposing your true self. People think because they are celebrities they can twist unobtainable things to their favor.

He has mistaken brand warranty for conventional insurance from an insurance change.

I hereby sentence him to 3 months community service for brand defamation.

Often times, screen damage is not covered by warranty so wat is he yapping about? Warranties are meant to cover factory related defects that are unnoticeable at the point of product purchase and not a squash ball inflicted damage.
