pls guys is this quotation okay for roofing a bungalow? I have concerns about the number of wood quoted. can I get a better quotation from the house so I can compare thanks. 2 by 6 for king post= 14, 2 by 6 tie beam = 170 2 by 4 rafter= 450 2by 3 purlin= 500 cc mufutau55,abdulwastecx, HSL Broker, Spyder880 parapet was done on the building thanks

It's okay if you're roofing with stone coated tiles and your roof height is up to 16feet. There is no provision for wall plate (3x4x12). Also, full size 2x4x12 can be used as tie beam instead of using 2x6x12. It will save you some money. Nogging is not included (2×2×12). |

KolaShangOne:am using stone coat. he wants to use apuntu or iron wood for the king post and tie beam then afara for rafter and purlin is ot ok? or I should insist on apuntu for rafter? thanks |

fabulous85:They are all good wood. Afara is a bit softer which makes it suitable for purlins. Apuntu might break if used for purlins and nogging. |
